spycrabbing is more than just a minigame for me, i won a bunch of time and lost too many times too even though i was f2p but hell even i got my first other all class hat and i even loved it and kept using it, too bad tf2 community forgot about it..

Was watching my friend play a casual pub match on Turbine just this week. After kicking a cheater most of the players broke out into a five minute spontaneous conga line from Blue side to Red side, where some already placed sentries mowed down the Red Team to my hysterical laughter. Then it was back to a fun and casual game with only one or two swift bot kicks. Made me realize how much 'going friendly' even if for just a few minutes was built into the game.

I like how it's automatically assumed that if you go friendly one time its all you ever do and you dedicate time and money into basically virtual draft dodging simulator, meanwhile i play normally most of the time, and for me "Normally" is sometimes getting so enraged that i have to stop for periods of time, but every now and then, i see a cute sandwich heavy or 2 silly spies and i just get the itch. That's how its spreads, its like a virus on a server. A happiness virus! lol.

For any aspiring Friendly players, here's a tip: You will get killed. It's part of the whole thing because not everyone will honor your commitment to the bit and some might even kill you just for the joke of it... or they might kill you accidentally because some are wired to shoot first as their gut reaction to seeing a player on the enemy team*. Do not get mad at these people because getting mad and toxic about getting killed in a PvP multiplayer game is the exact opposite to being friendly. All you can do is limit the possibility of that happening. Stuff like standing out of the way during engagements, not bodyblocking frequently traveled routes, and not blocking other players from capping points or pushing the cart.

That said, you can also be friendly and still be playing the objective at the same. Sometimes you might have a moment where you and another player just have a silently agreed upon truce where you don't intentionally shoot at each other, generally avoiding confrontations, and even letting the other pass when traversing the same flank route.

*I fall under this category. I often accidentally kill friendly players because I see team color first and cosmetics second.

I've been a pybro main for a long while, still my fav. Though pyrosharking is fun, hard to survive in the environment.
