every poor country and city has their rich and affluent areas, im an aussie and i always ask people thats better, to be POOR like literally struggling to pay rent and buy food in a "rich country" or to be rich in a poor country, like not super rich like private jets but rich as in have access to US$ etc... in a poor country like zimbabwe or lebanon or cuba etc... whats better?

Beirut was and still is the capital of fashion and style in the Mediterranean and I’m not surprised that the Top 15 names in Haute Couture fashion labels are Lebanese.

What the hell is this Beirut?? There's hardly anyone there! It's crazy. How awful. But I lived there so long ago, after the end of the Six Day War when I was only 23. I married a Lebanese Muslim in the US; I'm an American. This place you're in now looks nothing like the Beirut that I knew. And no, it's not empty because you went through on a Saturday. It looks like an ugly dead zone, an alternate universe within a lively, diverse city. But thanks for showing us what you saw there.

The Lebanese disapora is significant across the Americas- Mexico, US, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, etc. Going back centuries and long before the inception of many of these countries.

Both Salma Hayek & Shakira are ethnically half Lebanese.

The food you got is not really Armenian food. It is Lebanese food inspired by Armenian cuisine and culture, it is common in Burj Hammoud and Mar Mekhael (Saint Michael) area in the suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon.

The president or prime minister of the country has a huge effect on the country. The country is an extension or mirror of the authority ruling it.

Our best days were with rafic hariri(whether you like or dislike him)

And our worst days are since 2019 until now (president michel aoun)
