People say the face veil is a barrier between themselves and the one behind the veil. That because the womans face is covered they can't tell who she is and they don't feel a connection to her. I have to say, don't you see how real the woman behind the veil is? You want to see her face, her body but instead she gave you HER SOUL! THE EYES. Often times said to be the window to the soul. Through them can't you see her truth, her sincerity, her striving, the battle to purify her heart of negativity and arrogance? Can't you see?
She put her SOUL on display although it is only her creator who knows what is within her heart of hearts. But still, Know that you can see the kindness in her eyes, the willingness to help those in need, and also the fear of all the eyes staring in hers filled with animosity. She sees eyes filled with hate and anger and she wonders what she ever did to incite such hate towards her? By putting her soul on display the bodies around her lacking depth just don't quite understand why they will never see the nose, lips, cheeks that accompany the eyes surrounded by cloth.

Oh well, Her body is her body & her soul is her soul and your God is her God too. She loves her God with all her might even though at times she can't help but fall short in paying her dues. Her Lord asked her to purify her soul before returning to him and so her face veil is just one tiny aspect of her journey to a sound heart.
To rid the soul of arrogance, pride, self conceit, selfishness, looking down on others, thinking that she owns herself and obsession just to name a few. So feel privileged when you see only her eyes. She's proud that maybe you can see a glimpse of her soul she keeps hidden inside. -thatmuslimchic poem by Aisha Arshad
