which one is the better for Core i5-4690K (Z97 pro or z97-A)
ОтветитьThat man has a lot to talk about..
Ответитьcan these mobos run 2-way SLI?
ОтветитьWhat? I have 2 front USB 3.0 since 2011!
ОтветитьOk.. im stuck here. I cant decide if i should get the z97-A or the MSI z97-g45. also whether to just get an I5-4690k or pay more and get an i7-4790k. Im making the switch from AMD to Intel so any help is great. Also at the moment i have an Asrock extreme 3. (not r2) and an 8320 at stock and i feel like its holding my gtx 970 back a bit. the motherboard isnt that great at all so im just upgrading.
Ответитьis this board WIFI??
ОтветитьAnyone know a good high end gpu with the same color scheme as this board?
ОтветитьAsus Z97-A or MSI Z97 Gaming 5?
ОтветитьHow would one of these boards look with blue ram?
Ответитьdoes the micro atx z97M-PLUS have all (or at least most) of those features?
ОтветитьI am tossing up between the Z97-A and the Z97 pro to replace my current board, so any ideas what the pros/cons are between the two?
ОтветитьDoes the WiFi antenna is MAGNETIC ?? THANK YOU
ОтветитьI think I'm gonna make my next build a black and slight gold color scheme, using the z97-pro and an evga acx card :3
ОтветитьLOL!!!!!! Good 5th Element reference.
ОтветитьBecause they believe in supporting GOOD products. AMD doesn't fall into that category.
ОтветитьYou guys totally ignored the mITX version. Not cool.
ОтветитьI want to add the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo to this motherboard once I get it in my hand. But could anyone please tell me if the Heatsinks get in the way. i was Belv ask this same question, but the answers weren't clear to me. Could anyone tell me if the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo fit in this motherboard smoothly?
Ответить10GB per sec, unbelievable. wow
ОтветитьI was tired of MSI, it's so bad that I wasn't the only one who lothes their boards, my last one lasted only 2 years, it burned up and burned up my power supply, never in my life has any computer burned up, I wasn't overclocking. I bought one of these nice Chrome looking ASUS boards because of their stability, and the company is well known.
ОтветитьSo to get the A or Pro?
ОтветитьI have the Z97-a, I explain why everything is slow? 1600 Ram 1333 sees me even though it should be manually set to 1600 to 1333, with the Z77 lx had no problem
ОтветитьCan anyone tell me what the differences are between the Z97-A and Z97-AR??
AR is darker and doesn't vgs/dvi ports.. anything else?
Damn JJ gets around.
ОтветитьSo, I'm buying the new 4790k with an ASUS Z97-A motherboard, or are there better alternatives within the same price range. I'm going to play BF4 mainly, getting the i7 rather than i5 because e-penis and future proof, I don't want to buy another pc part for more than a year and I already have the 280x which is good enough I guess, I could add another later if needed. Is this stupid or not?
Ответитьwhat is exactly the purpose of that switch button on the motherboard? is it to turn off/on or something else? sorry i'm kind of new to this stuff!!
ОтветитьAsus rogue impact or the z97 information plus
ОтветитьYou guys need a VAF filter for your DSLR
ОтветитьWhat if i have corsair link and i want to use fan control 3?
ОтветитьJJ is THE BEST!!!
ОтветитьWow.., Op amps discussion is direct hit to Gigabyte.... :-D
i use Xonar Phoebus with Z87X-OC Force :-D.. best of both :-P
Why no AMD? :(
Ответитьno new amd boards ...how about that
ОтветитьHmm. the generation seems more like a filler to me..wont be upgrading from my 4770K or Z87 chipset board ill wait for a mainstream 6-core or 8-core from intel
ОтветитьThat's a lot of damn features.. I'm still on an i5 sandy P67.. Lol.
ОтветитьI wish the ROG boards were this colour.
ОтветитьJJ i know u love the gene but what case do u use for it. cooling?
ОтветитьNice shirt JJ.
ОтветитьJJ you just contradicted yourself with the overclocking features of an A model v the others Rog etc .... Heat is a major barrier for over clocking therefore a deluxe or Rog motherboard is going to be better as per the comments you just made ??? Wtf?? Are you just a sales guy ??
ОтветитьHaha those darting eyes, he looks super timid
ОтветитьAlthough the price premium for ASUS motherboards is just too much for me, I appreciate the amazing marketing and their general approach in terms of their products.
ОтветитьIt's really nice to see ASUS leading the charge with just the shear number of new features that are universal to every board. Although I won't be upgrading this generation, I'm glad the Motherboard market isn't stagnating.
ОтветитьJJ's shirt looks very strange in this recording...
Also, why doesn't Asus integrate these programs like fan expert crystal sound and so on into a single program so you don't have that wretched system tray clutter.
I have the z77 mini itx with a i5 3570k and z87i deluxe itx with a i7 4770k was thinkin bout gettin the z97 for future CPU upgrade but found out my z87 board will support the new non k refresh haswell CPUs and later the k versions main thing I will miss out on is the new 10gb sata
ОтветитьWhen using fan xpert 3 or 2 can u control 3-pin fans?
ОтветитьOk, that fan control is awesome!
ОтветитьJeez , JJ is going at like a million miles an hour, I'm barely keeping up with him lol
ОтветитьSometimes quality is overstated. Built 3 units this month with asus motherboards and all three had port failures (video or lan).have to drive 8 miles to microcenter to stand in a long line for replacements. Looking back at MSI from now on. Laptop heating problems and customer service non existent. It's "we got your money now go away".
Ответитьthese look really nice
ОтветитьIt was great to see the boards alongside one another and hear JJ speaking. However, I have a tip: I would, very much, appreciate a clear delineation between what can be done even without installing anything, and what is reliant on the software disc / download for the boards.
So much of what he's talking about is clearly not directly available in the hardware, but is actually a feature provided by the software bundled with that hardware, and presumably when used in conjunction. Some stuff clearly isn't, and my big problem is the fuzzy grey stuff in-between.
Here's the rub for me. Since I don't, typically, run Windows OS on home builds, and when I do it's always a secondary option on dual-boot. Much of that software will not install, or if it will it won't function as intended on other OS. (I presume, at least; the norm is that I get drivers for a couple of popular Linux, and maybe a BSD or so, but the rest is purely Doze rubbish)
The ability to program fans in firmware is a great improvement to this, but since fan control is available in most non-Windows OS as a standard feature, the water is getting muddy again. (is my OS in-built fan control going to override the firmware control and will it achieve similar results) For example, most OS will allow fan speeds to be bound to S.M.A.R.T for individual fans, and if that's the first thought for the optional sensor... Hmm. ;)
