Cameroon was also a German Colony before WW1. Rwanda & Burundi were never German, but Belgian Colonies. It was Tanzania that was a German colony, again before WW1.

The Chinese way to d disambiguate these two countries is to call them Congo-Bra 刚果布 and Congo-Kin 刚果金, suffixing with the first syllable of their capital name.
