ОтветитьTried this while watching - did not turn out as well as yours lol
ОтветитьU r a gem! Always inspiring!
ОтветитьLook at all the winners on this video!
Ответитьi keep saying this about every video, but damn, super useful… thank you!
ОтветитьSteve Reich didn’t "take two tapes". Actual musicians with real instruments played the music.
ОтветитьThis is a beautiful technique! Thanks for sharing your deep knowledge of OT with such friendly and positive attitude. Have a great day 🙂
ОтветитьDo a tutorial where you control a vst in a daw with an Elektron device.
ОтветитьWhen did you learn to appreciate salat Ezbot? Did you learn to appreciate it elsewhere?
ОтветитьMy refridgerator stinks because I am working at Google. I am man handling sounds to me an others. What else is this?
ОтветитьHi so I am working at google and my refridgerator stinks
ОтветитьLiterally people at Google deciding how loud you should sound.
ОтветитьHello, so I had a lot of synthesizers I couldnt play.
ОтветитьLet my nephews we smoking sawdust
ОтветитьLove it❤
ОтветитьI dream of doing the same with midi
Ответитьthis is so awesome n beautiful :) i'm about to get an octatrack and i'm excited to use your videos as inspiration for exploration. you have so many great ideas and your passion really comes thru!
ОтветитьGood stuff
ОтветитьBeautiful 🎶🎧
ОтветитьVery nice! Could it be done with a Syntakt as well?
ОтветитьAmazing!!❤
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьSo cool - Thanks.
ОтветитьThanks for inspiring me to use this machine in a new creative way. Your tutorials on the octatrack are so useful and actionable to make music. You the man.
ОтветитьSpent an hour playing around with this this morning. That moment when it first starts to drift apart is so cool
ОтветитьBeautiful :) Love your tutorials, Matthew - you're awesome. :)
Ответить❤❤❤
Ответитьcan a similar thing be done with digitakt?
Ответитьnoice 👌
ОтветитьYou read my mind, was just thinking about piano ambient loops this week
ОтветитьVery cool... you inspired me to dust off lydian mode on my guitar and find some melodies!
ОтветитьExcellent. I’m just a couple of weeks into learning the Octatrack and this is just the sort of thing that makes it so exciting. I’ve been using the Soma Cosmos (which works in a similar way) for live performances and this has me wondering.. There’s a lot I don’t fully understand yet so forgive my ignorance but would it be possible to use a pickup machine with a neighbour machine to achieve a similar effect with live input or is that wishful thinking?! Thanks for this.
ОтветитьGreat stuff!
ОтветитьYou’re so cool
ОтветитьOk now I’d love to see this done on the M8!
Ответитьbrooooo tysm for this! So cool.
ОтветитьI enjoyed this.
ОтветитьNow we're talking.. would love more mini creative tutorials like this.
also.. I'm mad jealous of those red buttons
I often record live loops from my modular system with the Octatrack. I'm really excited to try out this phasing technique with it.
I first fell in love with Reich's Music for 18 Musicians. Love his pattern and phasing work with things like Drumming and Piano Phase. But I haven't yet fully appreciated his tape and multimedia work. Thanks for making this.
cool cool cool
ОтветитьGreat video as always. Have been doing this type of stuff with the OT for years. Love it!
ОтветитьThe result sounds and has a similar principle like Ensoniq’s Hyperwaves on the TS-12 and later the Fizmo, with a bit higher resolution samples in the Octatrack but if you do bit reduction on those samples it would sounds pretty close.
This principle can also be follow on the Wavestation and now wavestate.
Still Octatrack has better trig conditions than Korg or Ensoniq, all thou Ensoniq Sequencer is still one of the best to be sport on a synthesizer ever.
Great find and tutorial.
Very cool, love exploring these tape techniques through modern instruments. Would love to see more off the grid workflows for the elektron boxes!
Ответить"Damn it, Octatrack." -The spa music industry. (Cool demo, man!)
ОтветитьAnother great one EZB!
ОтветитьWhat is cool about the Octatrack is that it can be so many different kinds of device, I mean, you could spend days and days just playing around with the setup Matthew has here, without even touching the other modes that you can set up.
ОтветитьDoesn't sound like Minimal Techno
ОтветитьWind instrument sounds like a Ney or Bamboo Flute
