I want to join the military but my body is super messed up and I’m pretty smart, enough to probably get an academic scholarship so idk what to do

When I graduated, I was working and doing college. Was too focused on working overtime and tryna get a car and just worried about the wrong things when I had the opportunity to be focused and do better. Now I’m in military and don’t want to be in debt and trying to do better and collect those benefits.

1. Take advantage of the opportunities when they present themselves.
2. Be disciplined and consistent with the process of your goals.
3. Use your past to fuel the future.

Now 21. Soon to Join the Army I got MEPS next week. I’m exited. A little petrified of physical part and medical records. I don’t have nothing crazy but I heard some stories. In life. I try going to trade school for medical assistant while working Security and making rap music. I wanted to have everything at all cost. And school wasn’t for me… I drop out a month in. Embarrassing to be honest. I went from 310 to 240 lbs to join the US ARMY. I been following this Chanel since the very start. Like… when Aaron was explaining Meps and it has guide me through a lot of my process. If anybody reads this, subscribe to this channel. Military or not. This man has the best advice sometimes anyone has to hear. I committed a lot of mistakes economically. I run my music career like a boxer. Putting huge amounts on it but not guiding myself correctly. To be honest I have a mixtape to release and from there I’ll see how music turns out to be while I go in my career in the military. I’ll love to become a 31 Echo. To anyone reading this my thoughts and prayers go to you! I hope you succeed in life. And thank you Aaron, for every single detail you had provided to people like me to join the army. Im currently 24 years old and I am shipping out to Army Basic Training on November 13th. Im excited and cant wait to start my journey. I have gone through a lot of ups and downs after high school but I have learned so much from those experiences. I finished my Associates Degree so it benefits me by giving me better rank so it overall built my character up to this point.

17, currently trying to enlist, I almost went guard, got disqualified at MEPS, finished asvab, finished medical, I need some waivers so please pray for me I really really wanted this for my life, I want to serve God and serve my country and I hope and pray God can use me in the Army if it’s his will. Note: going active duty not guard. My guard recruiter quit on me, active duty guy told me he’ll help me out. God bless

Hey mate, loving following your content. I'm also in Gen Z, and likewise chose Army (albeit as an Officer, specifically Dental Officer - so props to you for being in dental). I definitely do see lots of value in young people pursuing university regardless of field, or potential job prospects as it builds a diversity of thoughts and ideas which ultimately adds to our society. It's definitely not a black and white "College is a scam", or "don't pursue a trade". Being in Dentistry (the broad field of science/health sciences), I have definitely been guilty of meme-ing Arts students, but now having a partner who came from an Arts background, I definitely see the value that degree has provided her (and provided to me as well), despite the uphill battle finding secure, full-time employment. Keep up the good work man!

Its crazy how everyone took completely different routes in their life, but they all have some regrets. I guess its important to recognize your gonna make mistakes, gonna have regrets, but just do what you feel is best or what can set up your future the most. I never thought id even consider the military but your friends college experiences are pretty close in a way to mine. Looking to get my associates and might enlist this summer. Tryna put in the work for my girl and my life to have a place to live.

My son leaves for BCT in 2 weeks 😭 my mama heart hurts but it’s what he wants since he was in 2nd grade. It never changed. He still doesn’t know what he wants to do in life. It would be pointless to do college first before joining the army. He’s smart doing that, in my opinion. He will use the GI bill after once he knows. He may like his MOS, or he may not. The Army is a good stepping stone. He just graduated HS earlier this year. You all reminds me so much of my son and his friends. All went different ways, about 8-10 boys though. And as an Asian, his grandmother is pushing for him to go to college first “so he can go in as an officer” 🙄 but again, what for if he doesn’t even know what he wants to do in college?! It’s all different situation for everyone and it’s nice to see you guys respect each other, whatever decision you make.
