Mice hate mint, buy a can of Victor's Ant Spray and spray about a foot up from the deck all the way around...... also fill any little hole, if there head fits they can get in.... so I would caulk that trim on the deck to the outside wall siding,

I would recommend maybe a squeegee for the shower. I use a squeegee after every shower use and I have no hard water buildup.

Dear Jennifer, I wish you a lot of patience and energy with your feet !! I broke my ankle last year and totally understand how frustrating it is to be immobilize. Just getting a glass of water is an adventure.

Are you concerned about erosion on the slope you are cutting into behind the house. Will you build a retaining wall? Were you permitted to do this? Yes, maybe you are grading to allow the snow melt to drain from the structure but what about the stability of the slope?

I know Trent knows all but this seems of concern to me.

But you do you it’s your project.

BTW what is wrong with Allie doing the tiling? I bet she can do a great job. Just find the correct grout for her to use instead of the Epoxy Grout and let her do it if it comes to that. You could have Jimmy or Jason show her how to get started on that tile and then she can get to it at her own convenience!

I know this is way after the fact because you have probably covered those holes already but if you find more holes you should fill them with balls of steel wool. You can shove it into the wholes with a pair of gloves and the end of a chisel or larger tool. It will prevent the mice from going in and out of those same holes and hopefully deter them from burrowing more in that area. If they get trapped in a hole after being filled and blocked they will just die in there though!

I pulled it apart, poking jt around EVERYTHING at the base of the house.
I poked it around every pipe 🕳️.
I never gad another mouse.
We lived there 17+ years.
