You talk about Wranglers and Gladiators like they are a fashion accessory like a BMW, Lexus, or other gadget filled vehicle.
My wife and I have bought several new vehicles this century. Most have been Ram trucks. I bought a '23 JLU Sport S Altitude back in August. Runs great, and gets decent fuel economy. 18mpg around town, 28mpg on the highway. It cost $49k, it is the most expensive vehicle that we have ever bought. But the prices have increased dramatically on all brands in the past 4 years.
I have an old '96 ZJ, project vehicle. That one is for the more challeging off roading for now. I may spend another $40-50k over the next 5 years toget the true vehicle I want. But Wranglers and Gladiators are unique vehicles. And most people adapt them to their liking for off roading in their chosen environment. The Bronco might be a good vehicle in 4 or 5 years. But for now, the Jeep makes a good errand and adventure vehicle.
As a lifelong Jeep owner, you evidently dont get it. Quit yer whinning about the cost wah wah. Just cuz you cant get laid with that ridiculous mouse on your face, dont take it out on Jeeps. Have fun driving you mom van.
ОтветитьI love everything you hate about jeeps
ОтветитьJeep is junk and priced like a joke. I literally laugh at people
ОтветитьWhat do you suggest for a different choice????
ОтветитьI don’t know who told that facial hair is acceptable in appearance but they were completely wrong. I couldn’t watch the video because I was laughing too hard.
ОтветитьYou poor baby, boo hoo hoo. Just your opinion and that's your problem.
ОтветитьI’m all for being critical of a manufacturer, but you just don’t get it. Modern Jeep as a manufacturer deserves some criticism for sure. However, it’s pretty clear you have never lived with a wrangler. Some of what you said wasn’t even true. The stuff that was true is because it’s a different kind of vehicle. It’s only analog is the new Ford Bronco. To your credit, I’ll say, when I was 15 years old, I was just like you. No way did I want a Jeep, I wanted a used RX7. I didn’t understand Jeeps back then either, but now I own 3 of them (2 wranglers) and have owned 8 Jeeps (7 wranglers) total over my driving life. I have driven some pretty amazing vehicles in my life, but I’ll never not own a wrangler. Granted they’re not for everyone, but I bet if you own one and really use it, you’ll see why they’re awesome (also, no reliability issues and I have owned at least one of each gen wrangler for 10 years at a time… my JL is currently 2.5 years into that 10 year test).
ОтветитьWhat?!! You pan to the underside of the Jeep and say you don't want anything that will leak oil or coolant. What does that even mean?! Then you show a totaled Jeep with a mangled front end and say look at how the coolant can leak everywhere and look at how the cap can pop off randomly.....dude, it was wrecked!!
ОтветитьSimple - don't buy new cars, they are depreciating assets. Buy one that has already devalued and then spend the savings on building it the way you want.
Ответитьyeah because BMWs are not unreliable at all
ОтветитьVery unbiased.. Perfect! A great review of a destroyed Jeep lol.
ОтветитьAre you comparing Wrangler to a lousy BMW? LOL. BMW loses 20-30% the moment you drive it off the lot, jeeps never depreciate. Gas guzzler? Modern "gasoline only" jeeps are better then 4 runner by as much as 30-40%, and 4xe are 10 times better. Leaky roof - complete BS. Leaking coolant/oil - WTF are you talking about dude? I began to wonder if you found a vehicle someone drove-off a f.cking cliff, and then I saw the end of the video and laughed my ass off. Good one!
ОтветитьNot well built but still the most capable vehicle. Too bad Jeep quality sucks. I’d buy one if built like a Toyota.
ОтветитьYes, i don't know why anyone would pay sooo much for a brick on wheels. Bottom line....a Jeep is just a money pit.
ОтветитьNew ones are 🗑️ I had a 99 Jeep XJ with the 4.0/AW4 transmission that lasted well over 300k miles before I sold it
ОтветитьIt’s a Jeep thing brother, couldn’t finish your video respectfully. Wranglers are not for everyone and if you really are about wranglers you e had them cj and yj. Would much rather my wrangler over your other prices for the fact that you a disaster strikes and your on the road wranglers can make there own road
ОтветитьHahaha. This one has developed leaks and has the battery disconnected. Then shows the totaled front end. WTF
ОтветитьIf you think the Jeep Wrangler is junk, you really need to check out a Renegade.
ОтветитьWhat a piece of trash of a review. The Wrangler is probably one of the safest vehicle purchases in terms of not losing money, he killed his own argument talking about resale. A year after buying a BMW you lose 40% of its value....now there is a piece of crap purchase. Not to mention Wranglers are a blast to drive and so customizable. Somebody in a jeep picked on this guy when he was young.
ОтветитьI have no sympathy. Dealer next to me listed a 21' Wrangler for 39k, said I'll take it for 29k, they said no, that was two months ago it's still there right now. I keep getting told I low balled way too low and all I gotta say is wtf do you know? Cause it's obviously not how to sell a jeep. Again. It's still there.
ОтветитьWho the hell want's a Lexus..... JEEP all the way!
ОтветитьThe price in Australia is also outrageous both for new and used !
ОтветитьEverything you say is a lie The Jeep gets way better gas mileage than other SUVs Toyota is junk supporting foreign companies is bad Quit being a crybaby they're awesome and they hold their value and reliable and nothing that you say is bad I have driving many SUVs and they're all copycats and boring and too expensive
ОтветитьAnd they are not very well made either, I have a couple friends that bought brand new ones the last few years and they have both been a pain in the ass back and forth for warranty repair
ОтветитьThe worst thing about them is after blowing a pathetic $50K on these ancient dinosaurs, they are not reliable at all. Ignore the fanboys who claim they've "driven 200,000 miles with not a single problem." Consumer Reports has always given it an F for reliability. Don't even get me started on their plug in hybrid...
ОтветитьI love Jeeps, but I agree that they aren’t designed to be daily drivers. My Jk Wrangler was purchased with it’s sole purpose being a toy. As far as being a fun vehicle to own, drive, customize, and modify a Jeep would be hard to beat.
I live in the Deep South. Jeeps are very popular and in high demand here. Jeep ownership,at least in the Deep South, has become a status symbol. It’s common to see a Jeep Wrangler in the driveway of expensive homes in upper class neighborhoods. Jeeps are a common sight in high school parking lots too.
Jeeps aren’t practical, but they are a lot of fun to own, drive, and customize. Jeep owners are part of a community of Jeep owners that acknowledge one another, with the famous “Jeep Wave”, when they meet each other on the road. Owning a Jeep means becoming part of a community.
Wonder where their bailout money went. Ahh there it is. 😊
ОтветитьOk, so no real reasons 😂😂
Ответить💋....JEEP FAILED in AUSTRALIA and now they are a joke there......👠
ОтветитьOlder jeep..09 6 speed manual transmission.. good easy to work on....
ОтветитьSomeone who wants what a wrangler can do does not care how they compare in price to a BMW, Mercedes or Lexus. These are not comparable vehicles...
ОтветитьAfter daily driving JK since 2012 with almost no issues - I end up getting 4xe (my son still drives this JK). There is no logical explanation for it - but in the jeep I feel most comfortable, like everything just in place for me.
ОтветитьYeah, wranglers are a pile of trouble. But you dont buy them as a luxury car and the price you pay ain't for luxury. You pay that money for branding, capability off road, no depreciation and the ability to modyfy the hell out of it without any mayor flaws (well, none that have not been adressed by the aftermarket).
So they dont drive as good as any vehicle north of 40k in the market, they don't offer any luxury comparable to their price equals in the market, they tend to require more maintenance in things you would never think about in annother vehicle (door seals for instance). But, you will buy a 60k wrangler and sell a 55k wrangler after 4 years. You will be able to modify the hell put of it and still sell it for 10% loss on the total investment. You can find things for it anywhere, and for very cheap sometimes. You can have it and use it as a toy and dont worry about depreciating it even more.
So, if yoy wanna buy a jeep just because you think it looks cool and you can spend the money it costs on a vehicle you will daily drive as a "mall crawler" then go for something else. Bronco is a great oprion for example.
You better be out in the trail every other week for that jeep to be worth it. You better be a person of the outdoors, an overlander, go camping, fishing, biking, trekking, kayaking or very fund of the offroad motorsports world.
It is worth it, for the right person.
This video is like a soccer mom review on a miata. "No storage, no back seats, loud car, way too low, no place to put groceries, no place for my kids and their stuff..." or a petrolhead review on a minivan. "Too large, too heavy, underpowered, bad driving position for control, fwd sucks, engine too quiet, too much body roll..."
its sad that such a good looking vehicle is such a pile of junk.
ОтветитьMark, have a 2002 wrangler with a 4.0 5 speed. Love it!.Did have a rebuild after 271,000 miles. Also bought a 2017 wrangler sport. Love them both. True Jeep people are a devoted group, much like a family. One of the few group of people that will wave when you pass them. Much like bikers. Sure they have their flaws but what auto maker does not, even Toyota. Most people I talk to love their Jeeps. Their love is true.
ОтветитьJust think - if the UAW gets its way a Jeep will cost $100,000. But Jeep will go out of business or move its operations to Mexico long before that happens (thereby eliminating UAW member jobs). Thanks UAW - you are a bunch of idiots.
ОтветитьI agree, these jeep prices are ridiculous and who put the mirrors on the doors ?
Cause, if you take doors off , you have no mirrors ? Cheap bumpers....Next ?
The beauty of a Jeep is that they hold their value. period. You spend 46k on a jeep, ride it for 5 years, until its literally a rattling death trap with rust and dings, and can still sell it for almost 2/3rds the cost of a NEW one. its one of the few vehicles that are almost in investment. Add to the fact that worn out jeeps still have an aesthetic appeal and you can see why they demand value. Put a worn out 1995 YJ out for sale and it gets snapped up instantly.
ОтветитьLove my Jeep, owned a 2002,and now my 2023 Willy’s. love it!!
Regular maintenance and your good 2 go.
Jeep for Life!👋
i know you are trying to make a point, but im wondering if you are just being comical...showing a fluid leak under a head on collision
ОтветитьThey squeak alot over bumps, sounds really raggedy, especially when you put lifts and bigger tires. I HATE vehicles that squeak and rattle
ОтветитьI think the excellent resell is the whole point of getting a wrangler. I had a 2019 Rubicon which I only lost $5K after 3 years, then a 2022 4xe Sahara which I traded for another car with a lost of another $5K because of the $7500- tax credit. A BMW for the same price would probably be closer to $15,000 in depreciation.
Ответитьrecently traded in my 2013 for $4500 less than I paid for it new.
ОтветитьJust bought a 07 wrangler 3.8L engine. I'll never buy a pentastar engine. My 3.7L powerstroke 08 grand cherokee had 210,000 miles and still going!
ОтветитьReally not much of a review. Mostly you dont know what your talking about, more like wining about things.
ОтветитьI’ll give all the problems except resale value. You can sell it and get most of your money back after several years. Why wouldn’t I buy one and basically have a free car for 3-4 years.
ОтветитьLOL, 5 series bmw. 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤣
ОтветитьI never watched your vids before, but I'm guessing you're just taking the piss (not a serious video). Well it made me laugh.
ОтветитьAs a current jeep Owner, I am loving my 2017 Jeep sure I had one major leak oil and it got fixed she runs well. Sure I spent money to fix her but that's what happens to all cars from wear and tear. I drive my Jeep constantly as a home health nurse. I don't see any issues with my Jeep I do recommend to buy a used one and go from 2017 and down, the more newer models do come with some issues. I only owe 24K as of today and left the lot at 42K so yeah not bad and gas is not that expensive for me to fill her up. I Love my JEEP!!!
Ответить
