The difference I noticed the most when I started playing on bedrock recently was you cant hold your shield up with rightclick, you have to crouch. This didnt take me too long to get used to though since I have been playing Vintage story for a few years instead of minecraft which uses the shield the same way.

As someone who plays both, i would play bedrock only to play with friends or if your computer broke like mine did. Multiplayer on bedrock is free. For anything else. Java is what i choose automatically

A good reason to have the character at the top-left hand corner of the screen is that it helps you to 40-40 with an elytra if you can't see the ground.

Every time I boot up Bedrock on Switch, I see the FPS drops and render distance, and the way red stone works is always in the back of my mind. I’m just too spoiled by Java.

You didn't talk about the most overpowered thing in bedrock which makes it superior is the bridging mechanism y'all know

i kinda enjoy bedrock edition. the only things i dislike are the limitations on some redstone farms and playing without schematics

Definitely how it supposed to work everything is how it is on console i play bedrock ps4 edition it very different and very hard when on hard i have died so many times

Bedrock has some things that are, lets say, weird compared to Java (and lets just admit it: bad), but its comprehensible!.
The fact people can play in the same map, one in pc, one in a phone, one in console... thats just so cool

The wither also has more hp in Bedrock than in Java, I think it’s like 100 more? Idk the exact numbers

It makes sense that it renders differently since it doesn't use the same programming language

I find it funny that they are fixing villigars but not the nether roof which they said on many interviews that it is not meant to be in the game

Oh and when you kill the wither it explodes again just like when you spawn it so that's kinda bad

On bedrock edition you can only put Shields, Totems, Maps and Fireworks in your offhand, because bedrock edition is used in cellphones, you can't control one both hands, because you have to click to use your main hand, you can't use your offhand to put blocks or mine.

I thought the wither summoning wither skeletons was on both versions..?

I have played Bedrock since the days of the PlayStation 3. I have recently bought a PC specifically to try Java and I'll let you know how I find it.

The dragon and wither both have x2 health

The absence of many features such as lack of offhand support and no updated combat system is due to this version being available on smartphones where the number of buttons is limited, they have updated the touch controls a bit but I don't think bedrock is getting offhand support anytime soon

The other interface is in Beta it will be every where not just on creating

As a bedrock player most my life I can 1000% say Java is the superior version mainly due to it being easier and having nicer red stone tech and SERVERS I can’t wait to get bck on Java but my pc is currently broke

For me, bedrock may be better in optimization, but the rest is scuffed enough that it itches your brain, in short, it's weird.

Ah, you have tried Bedrock. 😂 My first worlds were XBox360 console. Most of my playtime is on Java especially 1.12 - 1.17. Recently it's been mostly Bedrock.

why mojang just doesnt use java on everything? ngl but i feel like java version is better because of mods and also texture packs, they should just make some updates to java to add some bedrock features and then use java for everything or do the opposite with bedrock
