How To Beatbox - Throat Bass Tutorial (Many Variations)

My advise is not to do when you have cold no mucus is stuck aroud your chest and throat. I have just thrown out.

So throat bass is the same as a false chord in metal, but focusing less on tension and aggression and more on just maintaining the basic vibration

I know this is a old video but I just used them and it helped but uh I was having difficulties with the tongue and throat bass together.

Does learning throat singing do the trick?
Also I just have no way of confirming if I am doing it right or not.

i litteraly got it in 5 minutes because of this tutorial but i can only do it for 4 seconds

i have a problem throat bass and chest bass hurts and i wan't to know how to stop the pain when i do throat bass (the pain starts after 3 seconds of throat bass)

A childish trick to get a throat bass is to sing a bassline imitating a dog’s growl while doing so (“growling” the bassline rather than singing it)! Explained the throat bass to the childs!

@TylaDubya So something I find helps is learning how to use your false chords for distortion to find a more comfortable way to do throat bass. I learned that because I've been practicing metal vocals for the past 2 years and heard beat boxing helps alot of singers find ways to put less stress on their vocal chords.

Like I do this. I noticed I‘ve done that what I hope it is for ages without knowing. But my problem is that on my voice these moments where it feels like the sound waves are waving (I can’t explain Srry bout that) are way too slow. At almost every beatboxer the throat bass sounds like one note but dirtier or smth. Not waving like me. But that what I‘m doing is just following those steps. I don’t know where I went wrong :(

THIS DOESN’T USE YOUR VOCAL CHORDS IT USES YOUR VESTIBULAR FOLDS. This is basically the same as false chord scream or Kargyra (Tuvan throat singing) simply more relaxed. If this hurts you to do you’re doing it wrong pal, y’all got it keep going.

By saying “aah” with the closed teeth while doing the throat bass you can obtain the real dog’s growl! Did you ever known that? And by exclamating “waff”! with the throat bass you can also bark like a dog! So... if someone can imitate the dog’s sounds, is eased to do the throat bass and vice versa! And I say that as beatboxer appassionate of animal’s sounds imitation! (BTW... A nasal “a” said with the throat bass, pitched up and down...if you are lucky... will sound like the elephants’ sound).
From the chest bass you can imitate the tigers and lions roaring, from the throat bass you can imitate the dogs barking and growling, (and the panthers, cougars , and lynxes roaring/meowing), from a nasal siren (or sax, maybe ( depending from the cat sound you want to imitate))sound done at low volume you can do the cat’s meowing (add a low volume tongue bass for the purring sound (if needed))...

How do you just keep the vibration going?

I didn't realise I knew how to do throat bass until you explained the coughing thing. For me, that's just just a singing technique on steroids. Definitely struggling with super low register tho.
