Hola!
Encantada conocerle!
🤝🩺🥼

I have double hip replacements due to osteonecrosis. The pain was killer as this progressed, and the range of motion in my left hip became very, very limited. This was the worst side and the side that had the worst damage going on in the ball joint. The ball part was beginning to crumble. I was probably about 3 months away from a wheelchair. I put the surgery off way too long and knew nothing about doing anything that would help the situation. It has been 12 years since the surgeries. My advice is do what you can to prevent the issues from getting so bad for as long as possible but also, don't put it off if it gets down to bone on bone and the pain requires the use of lots of painkillers.

I had a corticosteroid injection for my hip right before my vacation. It was wonderful. I felt normal and pain-free the entire time, and could be as active as I wanted. Unfortunately, it wore off not long after. I wish they would come up with an injection that works just as well, lasts for at least a year, and could be repeated indefinitely as an alternative to such major, invasive hip replacement surgery. Either that, or a neurectomy that affects only the hip joint that would give permanent relief. I would consider the surgery, but it will probably mean having to give up the sports I love doing.

I was told I have bi lateral femoral bulges. The doctor said the heads of my femurs were too big to fit into my hips and I was probably born with it. He also said starting ballet when I was 5 didn’t help. Could this be why I get hip joint pain in my groin and right round and lower back too. Sometimes it feels like my legs are locked and much slower walking than I am already. I even get overtaken by really elderly people and it’s so embarrassing. Please could you tell me if this sort of thing is real as I’ve looked up femoral bulges and can’t find anything. Thank you and much love from England. ❤

I thought I needed a hip replacement cuz my dad had this done but X-ray said osteoarthritis. At times my leg feels like giving away where I feel like I'm going to fall down!!

Well! I’m finding out that it’s good that I don’t feel hip pain at rest on couch (but in sleep I have to adjust positions through night), and I don’t have any locking up of my hip joint.

My pain is mainly ly focused on the gluteous and sometimes when bending my knee (I do not understand why is that way). Groin pain is not really hard. I've been diagnosis with severe osteoartritis in both of my hips, being bone on bone. I have mobility although the discomfort is getting notice at night time when lying in the bed.
I'm not sure whether or not postpone surgeries as I've been said by my doctor that this is degenerative. Appreciate any comments, feedback. Thank you.

Dude, Pain is pain. Why must you endeavor to describe pain? Your x-ray and the surgeon will let you know if you have arthritis.

Are you saying arthritis can be HEALED? I thought once the .joint lining, cushion was gone, it is gone for good, cannot grow back. So once you have it, you have it. Your programs help muscles surrounding, supporting joints to get stronger, maybe stretchto help the joint.

Dr. David: I am hoping that you read the comments and answer some questions. I don't know how else to contact you. Can you please tell me if horizontal rebounding on a Pilates machine is ok for hip arthritis? Also, is stationary bycycling ok? The type that sits on the floor while you are seated on a chair. I would greatly appreciate your input. I really enjoy your videos and information

I'm considering getting your Hip arthritis recovery program but I also have spondylolisthesis and spinal stenosis. I don't want to aggravate my back by doing the wrong exercises. What are your thoughts about this?

Am, 53 yo, I had left hip replacement in 2015, then right knee replacement on Dec 2022..now I started feeling same pain on the right hip.. i had xray and it showed narrowed space on the acetabulum and feumural head..if possible, i dont want to go for another replacment ..then i would really be literally an ironwoman..and 2 months from now I will be joining an Ironeman triathlon relay for swimming..its the only sports friendly for my joints. Any advise on how to exercise the right muscles. Thanks in advance,.. thank you for your videos.

Thank you. I didn’t realize the locking was common. It happens to me randomly while I’m driving. I’m under 40 and I’d like to keep it manageable for as long as possible. Thanks for the resources.

You are absolutely right doctor. After doing all of these exercises my hips got worse. I realized these exercises are what caused my hip pain to begin with since I had been doing them since my youth for many years. When I stopped, my hips got better. I am now doing glute strengthening exercises. Thank you.
