ОтветитьI removed the skin from my thighs this time and cooked the fat down then, saved the skin. I used the oil to fry the chicken as my husband doesn't like the skin on the chicken. I used the skin as a topping for myself on my food.

ОтветитьFor anyone who's making this, don't throw away the excess oil from the chicken! It's perfect for stir frying. I especially reccomend using it in fried rice! :)

ОтветитьAren't you supposed to marinate and grill the chicken? She is frying chicken thighs in oil and just pouring the marinate on it. No chance for the chicken to absorb the aromatics. Her recipe is crazy oily.

I would leave the bones in the chicken though because bones give flavor, as does the crispy chicken skin. Like the way you served it too, simple but elegant. Subscribed!!

ОтветитьI made this today and it turned out really delicious! I did not have fresh lemongrass so I used dry lemongrass but it still turned out great!

ОтветитьThis was really good! I had never tried it. I just made some small changes in the process:
I took the chicken out of the wok once it got that lovely brown color so it wouldnt dry out. Then, I added the onion and lemongrass first, a few minutes later the garlic, and then the chicken and the sauce just to finish up cooking for a couple of minutes.
Chicken was juicy, tender and had all the flavours!
