I do everything you have stated except for the offers. I do have auto offers set. It's just that I have found lowball offers to be a waste of my time. I had no issues with my method prior to live shows. I may have to accept a lower profit margin. Thank you for the video.

I just started reselling. I’ve sold 20 items in the first two weeks on eBay. I’ve sold zero on Poshmark and I just don’t get it. It’s a bunch of spam scammers all over my inbox and such. Is it only me??

Thank you for this video, the live shows as we all have seen have turned Poshmark into a garage sale, with desperate sellers lowering prices to ridiculous amounts because they are just that: desperate. They have spent time sourcing, getting a show set up, struggling to get even a few viewers (when fighting against people who have brick-and-mortar stores and need to stay off Poshmark, or people who love the sound of their own voice and will daily and for hours and hours talk to no one but a camera, I digress) the comps have fallen on all items and everyone who sees shows advertise $3 STARTS!!! thinks the rest of us with quality items are going to do the same. We are not. We will go elsewhere to sell where it is not a dollar tree mentality.

What brands do best for you?
A lot of people say small sizes like xxs,xs,s, and petite sizes dont sell. Do you think thats true?

So glad I found this vid- I'm Posh Ambassador, I do Posh (so far the only platform)- I am currently full time employed on my regular job, so PM selling/listing is about 1/4 of my time per week. I do use Posh VA (love it!!!)- I also took advantage of the trial "Promoted Closet" in December sales were very good, HOWEVER, typically December sales are good historically, so no REAL data to compare to, unless I try Promoted Closet again just to test for a certain period when sales are not typically good, that would be a good test compare. What caught my attention to your video is your title......"without doing live shows"...boom, you got me!!! I am so afraid of doing a live show, just not comfortable with the entire mechanics of it, multi-tasking, interacting with folks via internet kinda scary for me, just being honest. Your strategy on offering discounts works for me as well, at least the buyer has an idea that the seller is engaged , and I believe communication is your greatest asset! Every time I make a sale, I always send a message thanking my buyers and letting them know when their items will be shipped. Bulk offers are sent, but VERY few accept- which is okay, I understand people just like window shopping. I also don't get offended from low ballers, I believe some are testing the waters and want to see if they can get a starting point of how much to bargain, but that strategy for the buyers can cost them to be blocked by the seller :( I am encouraged to try other platforms, maybe after I retire, as I know it will take dedicated time-I will end with this, sorry for the LONG comment- but I love being a reseller, I love communication with folks, and when I receive those heartfelt love notes it worth every minute I take to serve my wonderful customers! Some of the comments and private conversations have brought tears to my eyes, and now I understand why I do this! Thank you Rachel for your post!

I sell some stuff on Poshmark. It's become expensive tho cause they won't boost your listing unless you pay a minimum of 10 a week for promoting your closet. Plus 20% selling fees and ppl really expect that ship discount even on one item.

I get lot more attention on eBay. Cheaper to sell there

Ive tried live shows on what not snd nobody joins for more than a couple minutes lol. So I just doubt I would do well on Poshmark shows either.

Bulk sales is definitely the way to go. I have a closet of 6700 to 7500 active at all times. My brands are all basic brands nothing fancy, but gives good cash flow of couple 100 bucks a day

With boosted sales, my worry is that my items end up at the top of the page when someone is looking for something else and they don’t even want what I’m selling, we’ve all seen these. Thank you for sharing your research!

I don't get offended when ppl send lowball offers, but i do get annoyed. I usually post my shop rules/policies & include that i 'don't often accept offers; because most of my items are newer & already priced well-below market value'
I dont use Poshmark [yet], but have been considering it (since I have accts on Depop, Mercari & Ebay).
Recently had someone on Depop DM me to make a $10 offer on a NWOT dress I had listed for $22
(the dress retails for $60)
It took all my strength to not ask her: 1.) if she'd lost her goddamn mind
2.) did she think she's special why she DM'd & didn't take the normal channels to make an offer? She wanted to make a ridiculous offer and damage my seller response rating, if I ignored her like she deserved?

I’m working on daily sales I’m averaging 3 a week up from 1 a month …. I only have 100 active listings working up to 300 in the next month…

Trust me, do live shows when or if you can. It connects me to more customers & there are some people who only like live shows. I also sell the traditional way. But I completely understand not doing live sales with a baby!

I don't know, I watch a couple of live shows some have a lot of people watching them live. But I don't know i find them
boring. Also they take to much time. I have to be really bored to watch.

I did have a question about List Perfectly. I currently have 300 listings in my poshmark store. Will list perfectly copy my current listings and post them to eBay and Mercari for me or do I have to re-enter all of the information from scratch? Also , what if I already have some of these items listed on Ebay and mercari does list perfectly look for duplicates?

What do think about having more than one item in one listing ? For example jeans & tshirts, skirt & blouse… does this work ?

I want to try your strategy, but mine is different. As my items are aging,I drop the price 10% or more and take advantage of Closet Clearout Days, so Posh will cover the discounted shipping. I, of course, still take part in offers. But I will get an item down to cost and then relist or donate. Anyone else doing this?? Any comments on what I’m doing? Constructive criticism welcome!
