I love the house that October built, as well as the second one. It has a very real real, feeling to it.
ОтветитьI'd like Deadstream better if the lead character wasn't so f*c king annoying.
ОтветитьWhen I watched the Bay, I really thought I was watching a documentary
ОтветитьI recently watched Willow Creek. It’s obviously a very low budget movie, but the tension they were able to build over the course of the run time was quite impressive. Yes, it kind of rips off the Blair Witch Project in some of the scenes, but the sound toward the end were absolutely bloodcurdling, in the best way.
Also, I recently rewatched Devil’s Pass with my wife. We had just seen a short documentary on the Dyatlov Pass incident. I enjoyed I quite a bit, and I think it’s kind of underrated. It’s no Die Hard 2, but it’s way better than Cuthroat Island.
Love your stuff! THANK YOU for keeping the names of the films up throughout each segment! Helps me keep track. (PS, I save your recommendations to my YT movie folder to reference later!)
ОтветитьWill NEVER watch Cannibal Holocaust due to animal cruelty.
ОтветитьAm I the one who told you about Frankenstein's Army or did you tell me? Oh no...I told you about The Devil's Rock. THAT is fantastic and in much the same vein as FA...
Ответить....the guy in deadstream is beyond insufferable and how anyone says they like him is telling....
ОтветитьI’d love to see a fun list of your favorite lesser known 80s slashers. I love finding old 80s horror flicks that I’ve never seen!!! Much love! Thanks for all you do! ❤
ОтветитьHey GPE, thanks very much for these lists. I've been finding some nice gems in your lists. My current favorite from a previous list is "As Above, So Below." It felt like the movie was trying to answer: "What if Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom leaned just a little bit more into the horror genre?" And this movie did a great job with that concept. Great, fun, movie, with a very cool lore.
ОтветитьWatched the Bay right after this video. It really came off like a documentary. Great pick, sir!
ОтветитьGlad you mentioned Deadstream. I had passed on that one many times thinking it would be garbage but watched it after you recommended it. It was actually pretty funny. Reminded me of Evil Dead meets Blair Witch meets Shaun of the Dead 😂
ОтветитьI LOVE Late Night With The Devil, David Dastmalchian is awesome and I'll watch ANYTHING he makes. Even aside from him, though, it's REALLY good.
The Bay is great, too. I watched it purely based on the presence of Kether Donohue but I ended up enjoying it more than I expected to. Similarly, I checked out The Tunnel based purely on it being an Aussie movie and ended up loving it. It really captures that Aussie News Story kind of feel that helped make it feel a bit more real than it otherwise would have.
The V/H/S series as a whole is pretty damn good, the only ones that kinda let me down were Viral and 99 but even they had some really good segments in them.
Dude, i love your channel. I seriously don't know vary many people who share the same love for horror movies like I do, but your recommendations are awesome and I've seen most of them. Anyways, I love found footage the best, when done right. My favorite one I've recommended to everyone that I feel is very underrated and better than most of the best ones out there. The possession of Michael King is hands down the most original, realistic movie in a psychological and terrifying but crazy and unpredictable way that I think It beats movies like the taking of Deborah Logan and as above, so below by a mile. Just the acting and the story progression is enough to take you on a wild ride, not to mention the psychosis and changes the movie does makes you feel like you're there with the main character. Imo. And it's not talked about by anybody, or so it seems. If you haven't seen it, I highly, HIGHLY HIGHLYYY recommend it. So do yourself a favor, make this the next thing you watch. Lmao! Stay real brother
ОтветитьI just watched LNWTD a few nights ago and thought it was a bust. In capturing the period in time and technology authentically, sure they did a good job. The actual movie, i thought was a chaotic disappointment....is it just me?🤔
ОтветитьWOW...I have seen some really great artwork but never great ART work!!! Love the hell out of that poster behind you.
ОтветитьGreat list again. Love the way your site doesn't give the movie away unlike most trailers. Talking found footage ,just watched "Man bites dog" again, not quite horror but defo found footage and a great film.
ОтветитьLove these picks, man!
For your next video on Tubi movies, please check out “Compliance” from 2012. I promise you will be disturbed to your core! Based on a true story.
So... V/H/S currently has 7 movies.
You're free the skip Viral. It's pretty bad in terms of production.
Deadstream and Frankenstein’s Army were great and I’ll say it again Ghoul was a damn ride!
ОтветитьI really like 'Late Night with the Devil'. I just re-watched it a couple days ago. The only thing that takes me out of the "found footage" aspect of it is: who is filming the conversations behind the set? I'm surprised Peacock is carrying 'Cannibal Holocaust'. It can be a rough watch for people who aren't in the genre.
ОтветитьThe problem with pretty much ALL FF movies is that they fall into absurdity and cliche in the last quarter. Having said that, my picks would be the first Paranormal Nightmare, The Borderlands (AKA Final Prayer), Deadstream and the Taking of Deborah Logan. Most others I've seen..meh.
ОтветитьI'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who feels the exact same way about Cannibal Holocaust. It's fine but that's all it really is. The animal deaths were not necessary. There are plenty of ways they could have been faked and looked just as convincing, even on a shoestring budget.
Everything surrounding the movie (like the court case) is more interesting than the actual movie to me.
It definitely has a place in cinema overall, but it doesn't have a place on my shelf.
Seems like people nailed the other awesomes, but chiming in with "As Above, So Below". Easily one of my favorites.
Also Savageland gets yet another shout out. Such a fantastically done mockumentary. It's such an awesome concept and delivered flawlessly.
When you mention "its on another list" you really should have a link somewhere to said other list if you wanna maximize your views
ОтветитьI fell EXACTLY EXACTLY the same way you do about cannibal holocaust! You said it all the SAME way i feel! 😄😄 yep!
Ответитьthis list is missing "My Little Eye", "Unfriended " & "Host" ;}
ОтветитьTunnel starts Off strong and doesn't and let go.
ОтветитьMegan is missing is still one of my favorites
Ответить@GhostPirateEntertainment did you see The Women ?? 2011 horror. Definitely a Must watch. N would like to hear your thoughts on it
ОтветитьFound footage of by far my favorite subgenre of horror. It's so hard to do, but when it's done right they are amazing. My favorite of all time is as above, so below. That movie changed my life and showed me found footage of amazing. Anyways thank you for sharing a top ten!!! These are hard to find lol
ОтветитьLove love LOVE your channel!
ОтветитьDeadstream ist total cool
ОтветитьLooking as cool as ever.
ОтветитьI watched F Army about 10 years ago I am glad you mentioned it because I am going to rewatch.
ОтветитьCheck out the 1975 The Ghoul with Peter Cushing and John Hurt.
Ответитьgreat great great great list!!!
ОтветитьWas Zombie Diaries and Rec. on your first list.
ОтветитьMy wife and I are both fans of found footage horror, we really loved the Bay, and not sure if this one counts since it’s more of a documentary than FOUND footage, Lake Mungo.
ОтветитьI bought the original DVD from a supermarket in Thailand completely uncut I bought 5 copies sold some and gave some away.
ОтветитьAlways love your stuff bro even if i dont agree all the time
ОтветитьI’m a sucker for found footage!! It’s my favorite….when it’s done right and it makes you question whether it’s real or not is the best!! I wish I haven’t seen majority of the found footage gems because there’s something about experiencing a great one for the first time. Yea it’s not like you can’t watch them over and see things you missed but that feeling of seeing it for the first time is just….YAY!! Lol couldn’t think of a good word-can you tell?? Lol
Anyone have any good recommendations like Gonjiam Haunted Asylum?? I LOVED it and they know how to make a horror movie so I need some more to watch!! Please let me know
"Found footage" movies are always lame & never MUST SEE.
ОтветитьThank you for your reviews- Never heard of frankensteins army- Will have to check that one out. Nothing on Tv cuz of the American Thanksgiving Holiday- Here in Canada, we celebrate the holiday in October so it's just a regular day here albeit a holiday for you guys. We do celebrate Black Friday though. Last year on Black Friday I bought a nice new fancy TV that comes with Tubi. Nice to watch the movies from your cool reviews after. I'm not too familiar with the other streaming services you mentioned. Anyways, just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to you and anyone reading this comment in the USA
ОтветитьHave you seen the found footage film final prayer. It’s definitely worth checking out I highly recommend it
ОтветитьIf you like Frankenstein's Army, you'll probably like
Adam Chaplin
Hotel Inferno Trilogy
Love Deadstream! It's both horror and comedy packaged as a mocumentary.
ОтветитьJust checked with Copilot and ChatGPT and yes, they did kill animals in "Cannibal Holocaust" so, viewers discretion is advised.
ОтветитьHave you seen "Evidence" from 2013? It starts like the stereotypical 'film students doing a documentary and get 💀 one by one', but the plot gets crazier as it goes forward.
Ответить
