Christ died (Shedd all his Blood) as a sinless man on the Cross for ALL humans as the final sacrifice. On the third day He Arose according to the scriptures defeating death. And now all who believe that will be saved.

When I learned I was sealed with the Holy Spirit (Eternal Security) I was so happy, because my whole life (30 years of it) I believed a lie that I could lose my salvation by my bad works. Cause of that belief I walked away from the Lord for many years, “so what’s the point if I can’t measure up”. I ran to alcohol, drugs, woman etc, and it made me so depressed. I was longing to fill the hole in my heart that I came to realize only God can fill. Many years went by, then the last day I drank came, and I called out to God and balled my eyes out. From that day I started changing, and I haven’t drunk since. It has been over 7 years now.

The history of the Jewish people, and the holidays can be found/read in Torah (The 5 Books of Moses) and The Tanakh (The Old Testament/Jewish Bible) I’ve been a believer in Jesus for over 3 years, but I’m surprised, as I’m reading the comments, as many don’t know that Christianity isn’t it’s own thing. Christianity refers to followers of Christ Jesus; who IS the Jewish Messiah prophesied about from Genesis through the books of the prophets in The Tanakh (The Old Testament/Jewish Bible). Before I ever read the New Testament I read the first 5 Books of Moses, and then I read until the account of Ezra before I read the New Testament. The last Old Testament book I read was 2nd kings that was the book before Ezra. When I first read The New Testament the first book was The book of Matthew, and read as the following when I first opened it up to read it: This is The genealogy of Jesus the Messiah the son of David, the son of Abraham:

That was THE VERY FIRST thing I read when I finally read the New Testament, and I am SO HAPPY I had read The Old Testament FIRST, as it gave me enough of an understanding to the New Testament, and it showed me why, and how about The Messiah prophesied about in The Torah, and The Tanakh (The 5 Books of Moses/The Law of Moses) & (The Old Testament/Jewish Bible) Matter of the fact as I got further in the New Testament ALL The Apostles, and Jesus Himself were Jews! The laws, customs, Holidays, etc that were given to the people of Israel/the Jews were to be remembrances of what The Lord had done for The people of Israel in Egypt, as well as the covenants God made with Israel, and to celebrate/honor/worship Yaweh (Hebrew for God Almighty), as well as to keep themselves clean morally, ceremonially, physically, spiritually, and civilly clean. Circumcision was given to Abraham and His descendants, as way to physically see who was one of The Lord’s people, and to also signify who was clean, and who was not clean. Circumcision was a point of contention in The book of acts, as The Jewish believers wanted the gentiles to be circumcised, but Paul said not too; because it was going to be a yoke placed on the gentiles they wouldn’t be able to follow. Though it should be noted their were gentile believers in The Lord numerous times throughout The Torah, and Tanakh. I would provide examples, but comment is probably too long already.
