Abbe Borg a.k.a. “DieHardBirdie” is esports’ oldest world champ at age 78.
Abbe was known as “Birdie” of the Swedish Snipers team who won the World Championship title on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in 2019.
DieHardBirdie appears on the DISCOVER show (episode entitled “DISCOVER ESPORTS: Gray Gamers”) filmed at Nasdaq in New York City for airing on Bloomberg April 2020. DieHardBirdie encourages senior citizens, grandparents, parents, elderly in playing video games to bridge the gap and connect/engage with the younger generations.
He is set to partner with esports industry stalwarts to help advance family gaming or multi-generational esports in the gaming community.
