My portfolio has always been self-managed for the past 30 years, and I own 3 shares of Berkshire Hathaway Class A stock (BRK:A), which I purchased for about $17,000 in the mid-1990s. I'm currently liquidating some of these positions to make room for new generation stocks, but would I be better off reinvesting in gold as stocks appear to be a little too volatile right now.

ОтветитьWe have no expenses. Just insurnace on car n housing which is also lowest that can b available in the area. Minimal shopping n grocery n eat out. If anything expenses can only go higher on how low we r right now. 0 debt too. So increasing income is the only way to double anything. Coz even of we spend 0 next ur with same income it won't b doubled 😂
Rn savings is 43% n 80% of it is rent
Let me ask you this if I know I am going to die with in 2 years what ETF would allow me to live my best life sooner than later
ОтветитьJust started implementing reverse budgeting after watching this! Can't believe how much easier it is to save when you prioritize it first. Thanks, Humphrey! 🙌💰
ОтветитьLove the content but Rakuten is a joke. They just up the price to make it seem like you’re getting money back but it’s just the higher price most of the time or does a higher price than the sale.
Ответитьdominating the shares of TSLA, APPL, NVDA, and PALANTIR. It sounds nice to hold onto them for the long run, but I'm also willing to seize those short-term opportunities in order to reach that coveted $400,000.
ОтветитьSavings generally don't grow fast. It's the same as investing. It's about being consistent.
Ответитьi shopped around car insurance last week and switched to save $600 next year!
ОтветитьGoal, get 20k savings in a high yield account, 10k invested in bitcoin total (will increase that goal in time) max out Roth IRA. I JUST started taking my saving/investing seriously in my 30s, ugh. I have $1100 in bitcoin (hours after I bought, is when it started dropping today) and some chump change in ethereum doge and solana. No set goals on those yet.
ОтветитьI’ve been lucky enough to be able to roommate with someone who is paying rent to someone in their family and isn’t paying much. Before, I was spending half of my monthly earnings on rent alone. The majority of the rest went towards car payment, insurance and utilities. Making that sacrifice is allowing me to save 65% of my paycheck towards an eventual down payment on a house
ОтветитьMy car insurance is 244 $/mo.
Clean driving record, slow family sedan, 14 y/o car.
This is after a 30% discount from letting them track my driving for 90 days. It’s the cheapest available to me. I thought it was insane so I got a broker to help. Still my best option.
Help?
At first I thought “20% Jesus that’s a lot.” But when I did the math I’m actually almost at 20% with the $500 every two weeks that I put away 😂 I guess I’m doing ok
ОтветитьI have set up a secondary account with my main Bank. I then look at my current account then move the last three digits on the right into this secondary account. In effect I 'round down' my money. I do this every two days and over time it all adds up. A great way to start and manage an Emergency Fund or even a deposit for something. Hi from England..
ОтветитьThank you!
Can you do a video of investing m/saving or what to do for healthcare? My biggest concerns for retirement
As someone who still lives with their parents I’m thrilled to find out how I’ll double my savings to 160%
ОтветитьA friend suggested that saving at least 15% of your income in a 401(k) can help build enough for a comfortable retirement. Is this a good strategy to potentially grow my retirement savings to around $3M over time?
ОтветитьWhat do you think about cit bank HYSA
Ответитьi live a pretty frugal lifestyle and recently closed on a rental property. it won't generate much income, but i'm mostly just offsetting the mortgage on it and building equity for later. My goal is to save aggressively (40%) for the next 5 years, put that towards a major renovation, save for another 5 years, pay off the mortgage and then retire early. i don't want to travel or buy a yacht or whatever. my goal is to have my savings pay my living expenses so I can do whatever i please without having to worry about the roof over my head.
ОтветитьWill you please do another video on high yield savings accounts. I have one that you recommended before but they’ve cut their APY to 4%. Thanks!
Ответитьbreaking my goal down in weekly increments makes it seem way more possible!
ОтветитьGreat content. Do you consider 401k contributions (pre-tax) or brokerage accounts as part of your savings percentage?
ОтветитьI just gotta stop buying lunch instead of eating the meal I brought. Same for dinner. 😅
ОтветитьI really like the cryptic, hard to remember password trick! I accidentally did this with an investment account I try to ignore to avoid knee jerk reactions to short term changes in the market and it works beautifully. Having to look up the password manually at home often provides a cooling off period and allows logic to take hold.
ОтветитьI’m paid weekly and I’ve calculated my average bills+spending and have a set amount direct-deposited into my regular checking account. Any excess goes directly to a high yield savings account, which means all bonuses, OT, and other non-core salary income is captured by savings. The automation helps me, especially since bills aren’t evenly distributed throughout the month and weekly pays results in four “extra” paychecks a year. What I have in my checking is then further split. Utilities and such are on auto pay. Variables budgeted for fuel, groceries, entertainment, etc. are funneled to a cash back, prepaid debit card. If I overspend in one category it limits other categories and when I’m out of money, I’m just out of money - despite having a pile of cash in my HYSA. If there’s an emergency expenditure, I’ve got it, but absent minded overspending is disabled.
ОтветитьQuestion, does that 20% rule for saving include 401k/roth or is that separate?
ОтветитьHumphrey really renting an apartment?
ОтветитьThanks for your efforts Marketfeed, very interesting and useful Video, I like the way you have explained stocks, you are just like my Mentor, her strategies helps beginners to earn in the market without loss.
ОтветитьWhen we say ‘savings’ of 20%, would any contributions to 401k and roth 401k count towards this? Are we only taking about saving a % of the money we receive on payday?
ОтветитьThank you for sharing content that’s incredibly simple yet impactful. Sometimes, it’s the straightforward and memorable advice that truly sticks, allowing us to quickly put it into practice. It feels liberating to move away from complexity and dive straight into action
ОтветитьEmploying the services of professionals on the field is so far the best strategy when looking forward to getting the best out of any investment platform.
ОтветитьOkay. Changed all my passwords to the one you suggested. Ready to start saving!
ОтветитьQuestion. I currently have a CD that I'm thinking of turning into my vault account. Thoughts?
ОтветитьMy side of bills with a 3 person living is 450, then theres my personal bills which add up to 150. Then i put the rest away. I can save almost 2 k if i just stay home. I usually pull it all out because if i cant see or or touch it i have to go out of my wag to go home and grab some cash then go to desired place but i usually get tired agter work. I know ill take out of my card savings because i can see it and its right there.
ОтветитьAmazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing below the $100k mark and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $234,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest a huge percentage of my profit and it got more interesting.! For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home at the beginning of summer.
ОтветитьResonated most with rent and car payment being the most expensive, will make an effort to find cheaper rent when my lease is up in the summer. A savings “vault” that is not easily accessible is a great idea too. I just can’t find one that has an interest rate worth it. Thank you
ОтветитьAutomating savings is like hiding money from yourself... but in the best way possible! 😂 What's your go-to trick to save without feeling it?
ОтветитьMarket Volatility & Uncertainty Stock prices fluctuate due to economic conditions, global events, interest rate changes, and investor sentiment. Managing emotions during market downturns is a major challenge.

I Hit 12k today trading. Started last month 2024. Financial education is indeed required for more than 70% of the society in the country as very few are literate on the subject. thanks to Louise O'Brien for helping me achieve this.
ОтветитьYou're truly an inspiration! I began my investing and trading journey with caution, fearful of losses. But I'm thrilled to share that I've achieved significant profitability and have even purchased my first home as a result. Your influence has played a meaningful role in my success.
ОтветитьYou know.... something that always bugs me about these types of videos (great video btw) is that people always talk about how amazing investing and holding is (and it does beat the hell out of putting it in you bed each night lol)....but they always toute large figures like $2.8 million by the time your 70, etc....but they never address the fact that the value of money is always going down due to increasing inflation.....so that $2.8 million will only have spending power equivalent to $840K by the time your 70, which beats having $300K in a saved but not invested that will be worth even less in terms of spending power.....but people expect that $2 million will get them through a 20-30 year retirement....when in reality it will likely not last anywhere near that long unless you DRASTICALLY cut down on your cost of living and spending, and pull out much less every month then your current income from a job.....
ОтветитьI usually look up your videos for updates! Our government has no idea how people are suffering these days. I feel for people with disabilities not getting the help they deserve. Thank you PAMELA ANN PUNKAR, imagine investing $12,000 and received $305,500 within three months.
ОтветитьMy job had a 401k and Roth, 20% already gets taken out automatically. So with the rest of my take home should I still be putting away 20% as well?
ОтветитьRoughly $120K in my portfolio are in tech/TSLA stocks, can I get an advice on any other stocks that I can acquire to diversify my reserve across multiple markets while creating a comprehensive portfolio allocation that balances my concerns of risk aversion and returns that meet yearly inflation.
ОтветитьThis is an awesome content, I had similar experience which i shared my solutions to help other people as well.
ОтветитьI have accumulated a total of 290k today. I am truly grateful for all the knowledge and information you have provided me over the past few weeks. I started with 55k just 2 months ago.
ОтветитьHey all. I just wanted to say thank you for being here, this year blew my expectations out of the water and the community on here is incredible. I hope you're all having a great December, we have a few more bangers coming out so please be on the lookout!
