Don't know about anyone else, but i personally just marry Debana at the beginning of the game. You can literally get armor thay gives 57 BODY ARMOR as well as one of the best helmets. Plus a bunch of other REALLY good items.

My favorite armour set is "highest stats on everything except bear hat and armoured bearskin." I cant get over how nice the bear hat and skin looks. Wolf works too for when im broke.

Personally, I'd go for a Best Overall thing. As in - this is a better for my chest, better for my head, better for my arms, and so on. About the only way to make me go, "Nope" would be if the price was 50K for an increase of 2 protection.

Anyone having trouble finding the luxury scale armor? I've done 3 runs since it came out on Xbox and st no point I've seen it available, neither on aserai towns nor battle loot, both early and late game, it's so weird, I know it's not the best but I like the look of it

On the late game battania armour there is a warlord helmet that looks a lot better and may actually be the other part for the set

Imagine the best armour but it has the lordly modifier. That is how you become god.

Question for everyone i am in a middle of only companions run, and should i min max armor for everyone? I like the battanian warlord set and Sturgian closed helmet with chainmail (dk specific name i have the game in my language) it isn t the best but i find it good looking so should go for the best or stay with the one that looks good (for me)?

The "Best in class" is slightly wrong - the best chest piece is Heavy Scale Armor over Mail Hauberk - 57 body, 20 leg, 16 arm.

I think you buy it in Empire lands..? It might be Sturgia though.

Best hand/foot armor is Battania, best shoulder is Vlandia (though I found some prefixed armor that was better, if uglier), best helms are definitely Sturgia.

No Kahn armor for the chest? It's way better then the one ya got here for the late game. Though it is almost impossible to find on the Khuzait city markets, it also has to be bought for 400,000 from stores. By far the best chest armor to buy out of all the nations.

Khuzait armor seems to be the best by far. Almost no change in damage received yet it's the cheapest and lightest set in every era.

He says i migt have to rethink my naked combat strategy. Comes out with just gloves and boots.

I have the scaled boots the reinforced mail mittens the top chest armor can't think what's called, gold scalled shoulder armor and the knight lance helmet with 56 armor I look stupid but I'm a tank on hoofs

Wish smithing included armors and customizations like colors to weapons and armor. Imagine an all black imperial armor set str8 would look like Darth Vader

Can someone tell Me why the Higher Tier Armor with less stats are more worth then some of the lower Tier Armor with better stats and is it really better?! Thx in advance.

How the hell am I supposed to find high end armour it's been many years and I don't find the best in the shops

Or you just wear any stuff available in the early game and afterwards the best you can buy from all that smithing money

You can get a free good armour set if you marry some powerful noble and just take her stuff away and wear it yourself LOL

"we compared each culture's armor sets" Except you didn't. You didn't keep culture's armor, wearing Huscarl boots with Asarai stuff, and mixing sets like wearing scale with cloth. I was expecting better, but you DID show relativly the same armor values for each set, so hats off for that, but it's nothing the wiki can't tell you.

I did not see the male or so for the top cav for the empire and other equipment peaces as far as I seen don't show up at all unless you get lucky and loot it off someone in the battlefield otherwise don't appear in the market place. and this is as much as i saw supplying the smithies there top grade metals in the game along with the materials to make the things to. hopefully at some point we can craft armors as well for getting the top grade armor one can trully use in battle.

If im remembering right actual cataphrat helms only used chainmail like covers for the face so the neck cover would be about right. I believe full face coverings for calv came later on in european cultures. Though I could be wrong.

Personally I'd change best in class to "waxed decor leather harness with padding" for shoulders, "heavy scale armor over mail hauberk" for body and "fine plated leather vambraces" for hands. Boots are OK, switch to splints if you can find a lordly set and what ever 54 helmet you like best. Gives you 54 head, 72 body, 56 arms and 50 legs

I would be interested in learning the difference of damage between the modifiers of the gear for the early game, mid game, and late game and see how that changes the damage numbers

There is no cooler helmet than the kettle helmet with a mail coif. It looks so good.

The only problem here is that you only used normal (piercing damage) bow and arrow, using the blunt tournament arrows would have given the blunt stats to work with whilst still being controllable.

The Heavy Scale Armor over Mail Hauberk has a higher total armor than the Mastercrafted Southern Scale over Chain Hauberk, has higher body armor, and weighs less.

Also, the leopard skin outclasses the heavy cloak by a landslide for civilian gear.

Wadar Hotblood is for free on every tournament below 9 lords participating and I have plenty of them.

You cant buy the best armours, they are looted, married into and won at tournaments

Should the Khan's Coat of Plates be present in this guide? At least it looks better Bronze Lamellar over Mail for Khuzaits.

I really wish they hadn't changed the female armor to look so busty. All the waists suck into their body and the chest sticks out oddly. I remember when I first played the armor looked way more realistic on women.

Recently in my playthrough I found the Reinforced ornate pauldrons over scale in shop, but the stats are totally different now. It has almost 14 weight value and and the armor value is also much lower, 13 body armor, 12 arm armor. I guess this is because of the recent patch, in Wich they added more armors
