Just buy OC Gaming edition card and don't waste your time with bs you probably do not understand. Simple. Leave the science to doctors...

Will undervolting or lowering power limit help to reduce transient spikes?

Gosh, it’s that easy? I used to use afterburner but I use adrenaline now as I just got a 7800xt, I don’t know how to undervolt but I’d gladly give someone a $50 bill to set mine up lol.

Fixed all my stutters by lowering the power levels to 90% in Gerforce Experience.

But do you really care about power draw buying even xx70 series? I mean it is fun and all, but if anything pretty much any gamer will give whatever amounts of power card wants if it means more FPS cause in the end its all about performance and your FPS goals. If your card gives you 5-10fps for 200more watts why not give it? Its not like a car in which you can save some money if its 10MPG vs 5MPG, card that uses 60 more watts of power wont even save you money. But again - its all about your targeted FPS, I dont need more than 120+lets say 10% to be on the safe side, so if I can get it and keep card cooler Im ok, but what if you want 240? 192 gets you closer to it than 137 undervolt.

Best undervolting guide by far, clearly explains how to change the settings for any graphics card instead of a specific card.
My 1070 ran at 140-150 watts. got it down to 110-120 watts. same fps. Temps are lower. can lower my fan speeds and have lower temps than before. Thank you.

Undervolt+small OC is the best combo, on my RX 6800XT I managed to get core clocks to hit stable 2400mhz and memory to hit 2100mhz with fast timings enabled, 1025mv from stock being 1150. Overall gained a few fps and watts dropped by 40-50 in very gpu heavy games, and about 70-80 in moderately gpu heavy games, I have a MSI trio model so the cooler is already quite beefy, temps are 50-60C on current/edge gpu temp and 65-75C on gpu hotspot, fans are quiet 1600-1800 rpm aswell. Since the hotspot is so low in temps the gpu just will just 24/7 boost to 2400mhz core and 2100mhz mem, could prolly make it higher with more tweaking but I am perfectly happy with my results

I have an RX 6600 shaphire 8Gb. Well i play fortnite in the default graphics(high) and i get 90-100 fps. The gpu can get up to 76°C and i have read that that card tend to overheat. Should i go with undervolt or a custom fan curve for the gpu fans or both?

My EVGA 3080FTW3 used to draw 370-400watts under max load (1.1v 1970mhz) but got it to run at 1800mhz at 812mv and it dropped the power draw to 190-210watts and i only lost 2fps in forza horizon 5 4K ultra settings it also runs at 62 degrees now instead of 73-75 like it did before. Im actually astonished at how much of a power drop it had taken going from 1.1v default to 812mv makes you wonder what the point of almost doubling the power consumption in this case for an fps boost from 69 to 71 in the benchmark i used

man I was struggling for so long with my loud gpu while playing games, this got me from 82~ average temp to 72-76c making my fans chill for once and not going full on jet engine. without losing any performance.
