Why Ableton Live and not Logic Pro?

Love it...Couple things to mention - 1) You can record a tempo (and tempo changes) to the tempo track so if a transition requires the band to speed up or slow down (trashcans or whatever), record that change and save the track with the individual song. That way when you drag it in to your next session, you won't lose that data. 2) With warp, you can get better results by playing with the algorithm (beats, complex, etc). depending on what information is in the track. For instance, I wouldn't use "Beats" to warp vocals because it's gonna come out sounding a little jacked and any time or pitch transpositions will be super noticeable. Also, with short clips or ones with irregular patterns (like Cues), it helps to let them play while you hit the warp button. It just seems to get it right more often that way.

Okay, I’m sure this is a dumb question but I’m a total noob on creating backing tracks. Why not just solo the click and download all the rest of the tracks as a whole? So you’re just running click in left and the track on the right. Then run it off a iPad or something easy. I’m just curious. This is what I’m doing and I spoke with one of you guys about levelizing the overall volume of tracks. It just seems like it can keep things more simple for me but I would hate to be missing out on potential for a better situation.😎

This is amazing info. I'm just starting out. Can I get away with the Ableton Intro or should I upgrade to Ableton Standard? I'm only using Ableton to run backing tracks, cues, and potentially videos during a live show.

Fantastic! I was dropping these into Logic Pro, cutting off the the front of the tracks to match up the tempos, then dropping it into abelton! This cuts my time down more than half. Great video!!
