are any good to use in a PS5 ?
ОтветитьHow about “affordable” GPU’s ? My Video card is dying 😭
ОтветитьInteresting but. . . . You are advertising PC parts on a MAC big screen? ?
ОтветитьI got a Lexar NM610 Pro 1TB for $30 after coupon ($37 list). Probably a QLC drive so I'm not expecting it to be awesome, but still friggin cheap.
Ответитьbruh, the western digital blue is like 100 dolars in my country, well, I mean, we have an import tax of just 109% lmao
ОтветитьBro can i slot the Rougueware NX200M M.2 GEN3 1TBin my PS5??
ОтветитьSo my only question is regarding Adata, I have seen quite a few pc repair shorts of various Adata ssd's randomly failing, is this why these particular ones are so cheap or is this being made into a bigger issue and it's nothing to worry about?
ОтветитьShocked that theres no kingston
ОтветитьTimestamps please. And there is little real world benefit from buying now outdated, slower drives. PCIE Gen 4 as the baseline makes sense, unless someone has a Gen 3 or older system, that they won't be upgrading in the next few years.
ОтветитьFanxiang s880 2tb
90$
Best offer
Availability of Dram cache wasnt mentioned for each drive
Ответитьon that Team Group 4TB, there is an option for "Agile" or "Movement". What does that mean and which is better/faster?
ОтветитьThe only thing interesting in this video is the kodak ssd
ОтветитьJust received my 2TB 970 evo plus for around $117 from Amazon Dubai
ОтветитьThanks for your video, now I wonder if I should go with the 990Pro instead of the SN850x !!? My PC came with a SK Hynik in it for boot (pretty much the reason why I'm looking at your video!) And I bought a WD Black SN850x 4TB for my second NVME slot. The SK Hynik is so instable compared to the WD Black, can't handle big files, speed drops near 100mbs after 2 seconds writing. The WD Black keeps a great speed all the way through, no big drop in speed, even with big files. I'd say it takes 2-2.5 min to my system to start... similar to my old HDD booted PC.. not normal for a NVME! So I'm thinking about cloning my SK Hynik boot drive on another WD Black, to get a faster and more stable system. Any thoughts or tips?
ОтветитьEarlier this year I snagged a one terabyte M.2 SSD NVMe for $36. The Orico enclosure wasn't cheap at the time like $23. But the result is a small fast portable drive that I take when traveling. Holds my library of shows and movies with room to spare.
ОтветитьWe are getting ripped of in Australia. Everyone drive you showed is a lot more on AMazon Australia even after conversion.
Example was the Crucial P3 Plus 1TB for USD 37.66 = Aud 55.26. However it is listed on Amazon Australia for AUD 87.61. What is going on ?
However if I am prepared to wait I can buy from Amazon USA and get it delivered for Aud $59. That is $18 less and makes no sense to me.
Does Drive speeds even matter on PS5? Or are they limited to 6500 anyway?
ОтветитьWhat about Lexar Drives?
ОтветитьPrime Day was this week and I ordered the parts for a new computer. My boot SSD will be the Samsung 980 Pro 1TB, my data drive will be the MSI Spatium 4TB. Good prices on both.
ОтветитьOnly thing i would say is 512gb drives are kind of pointless, unless you just want a boot drive.
Ответитьlast october (22) I bought a crucial 1TB m.2 gen 3 for like $130. last month I got the same drive for my buddy for $79. yesterday I bought a 2tb gen 4 crucial drive for 129 and that same 1tb gen 3 was $69. ssd prices are awesome! (but somehow I keep spending like 300+ on ram kits)
ОтветитьYes…..the WD Blacks are awesome.
ОтветитьThe very cheap drives are junk. No cache……….won’t last a year.
ОтветитьIf you have the m.2 slots to use, or set yourself up with an multi m.2 on an unused PCI-E slot, there really is no reason not to run m.2 drives. I just picked up a SK Hynix P41 Platinum 2 TB for $141... Canadian dollars, so less than $110 USD on the Amazon Prime sale... prices really have come down on these for sure.
ОтветитьI'm replacing my orico thunderbolt enclosure with a 2tb 980pro with a 4tb option. I'm considering the WD BLACK SN850X 4TB nvme inside maybe an acasis thunderbolt enclosure or orico option. Do you have any recommendations. This is my for my photo archive, and I just want fast access using an my M1 macbook pro.
Ответитьthank you so much
ОтветитьWhat no review of Kingston KC3000? Fastest M.2 for $100 or £118 check it out
ОтветитьCould you please mention the TBW and the DRAM + NAND type specifications. Because drives with DRAM and TLC would have more TBW and would last longer. The QLC ones and without DRAM would probably fail soon and the customers are just going to end up losing data.
ОтветитьHi I have gigabyte a320m-s2h PCIe Gen3 x4 110mm M.2 (Up to 32 Gb/s)
Can I still use the gen 4 ssd?
Recent versions of Silicon Power SSDs all suck in reliability. They are hardcoding SMART data! Overheating SSDs are now fixed to read 40 C. Found this on my 1 and 2 TB SATA SSDs. The number of reviews of failures is alarming! I should have bought a well-known brand!
ОтветитьI love it!! 🫡🫡💯💯💯
ОтветитьOne thing you also need to look at is TeraBytes Written, Some of these are pretty low.
ОтветитьGreat video - You give the best SSD advice on this channel. Saves us from doing the research and it's much appreciated.
ОтветитьWhat is the real use case for super fast m.2...outside of video development...does fortnite run just as fast on a SP 1tb compared to a firecuda 530...what about cyberpunk? Oh...don't forget WD green...
ОтветитьSilicon Power 4TB UD90 NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 SSD R/W up to 5,000/4,500 MB/s (SP04KGBP44UD9005) $174.99 Plus Tax and This is what You tough me with Endurance Please note that the TBW of UD90 4TB is 2400TB. Thank you.
By Silicon Power USA in the United States on May 26, 2023 note Chewy chewy tootsie roll last long time, long Time. Ssd are Crazy right now, Thank You so much
Just bought the SN850X 2TB for $130. Easy Install, Blazing Fast! 👍
ОтветитьWhat’s the Cheapest way to build an Nvme NAS using these Cheap drives ? I need to build a 60tb Nvme NAS for Cheap.
ОтветитьI'm not sure how prevalent the issue is, but I can attest that the Crucial P3 and P5 drives do not work on ASUS Threadripper motherboards. Installing them prevents the board from booting. Had an absolute nightmare of a time for three months before Crucial owned it and refunded me. Crucial/Micron support was terrible. Just terrible.
ОтветитьCraig Neidel..Thanks Much !.......,
ОтветитьGovernments around the world are paying companies to building fabs. As all those fabs are coming online in the next couple of years, computer chips will get a lot cheaper.
ОтветитьIf the SSD card is for a new Mac studio M2, what kind of an enclosure am I looking for? Thanks
ОтветитьI think you've developed a specialty in finding affordable SSD drives.
ОтветитьLares is a faulty SSD! I bought one, on your recommendation and it was faulty and could not even be formatted! Had to return. I am finished with buying "no name" drives! Pay a bit more and save yourself a headache!
ОтветитьExtensive
ОтветитьCurrent PCIe Gen 3 external enclosures (including all Thunderbolt 3/4 rated products on Amazon) will about halve the rated speed of the fastest M.2 drives shown here. No doubt, the price per TB is getting much more attractive recently. I have an Acasis TBU405 with Samsung 990 Pro and the R/W is just a bit faster than 3100 MB/sec. In less than 2 seconds I can transfer the entire contents of a 4GB DVD iso from my M2 MacBook Pro to the external drive. Not bad!!!
ОтветитьWhy so cheap
Ответить👍✌🧸
ОтветитьWhat we need with all this metal are high speed enclosures, and I don't mean the UsB-c 3xxxx values. I mean real USB-4 and real Thunderbolt 4 speeds. What good is a drive if you can stick it in a race car? I did a quick search and boy.... yeah drives are cheap these days, the enclosure market... not so much. Anything over 3000 speeds would be acceptable.
