Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen - SNES Gameplay

I have to admit I like how you went after that buried treasure from the onset. I also like how you rearranged your units. I'm surprised you deployed Lans in the first stage, though.

Is this game highly recommended? anyone?

Yeah, it's a classic. It's pretty good. I prefer the N64 game though. Best game on the N64 and one of my favorite games ever.

The word isn't round, it's flat! Proof can be seen when the player zooms away from the map at 2:53!

i remember asking someone for tips on how to beat this game and someone told me it wasent for kids and that i shouldnt play it haahaha i was only like 10 at the time

@lewpal I know your comment was made 9 months ago, but since I'm sure others must have the same question, I'll answer anyway. I would absolutely recommend this game above any other I've ever played. I've enjoyed many video games of all types of genres and yet Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen somehow still can manage to provide entertainment for me whereas other games have long since become boring. Believe it or not, I actually didn't like OB the first time I played it. Remember this.

One of my absolute favourite games to the SNES! :) The strategic decisions, the tactical battles and the large maps with hidden details and subplots were all amazing, but to be such a detailed game and also revolving around such an incredibly awesome story... it was, for the lack of a better term, complete. No bullshit DLCs that were needed for certain stories to be resolved. On top of that.. 13 possible endings based on if you were good or evil or kind of good or kind of evil or... gaah!! XD

One of my favorite games of all time. So unique everything about the game is good. I just wish the other games like ogre battle 64 were more like this with reputation, stores, and everything else.

I love this game.  Always have.  Warren was so powerful.  Basically the hardest part of the game was keeping Warrens ali and cha in range to upgrade to mage.  Once hes a mage, then you can use the items to go sorcerer and then lich, and then you win! =]

5 minutes of exploring and battle is ensure! meet a wizard that cast "NightMare" spell. Failed twice.. yea not gonna bother with this game xD

Always wanted to play this and being a huge fan of Tactics Ogre on the Playstation 1, I knew I had to get this game. Well fast forward many years and here we are in 2017 and I have the Snes Classic...what to do...what to do? I jailbreaked the Classic and added a few choice games, this one included. Now that I have played it, I love it; although it is a very different game than I thought it was. I thought it was going to be like Ogre Tactics (think Final Fantasy Tactics only way deeper). Unfortunately, it is not like that; however, I am happy to say, what a very unique and fun title. Now, what I don't get, how did you get all of those characters at the start? I have two parties, that's it.

On another note, if anyone is interested, you should check out Front Mission for the Snes with English patch, it is like FF Tactics and works really well on the Snes Classic.
