I ziplined in Koloa and enjoyed the scenery very much while cruising down the lines, Waimea Canyon and Napali Coast were definitely my favorite parts of the island as far as natural sight seeing goes, I'm from AZ and Waimea reminds me of the Grand Canyon.

I recently visited Hawaii for the 2nd time but it was my first time on Kauai-it's my favorite Island I've visited so far, the other visit was Maui and Molokai. Staying on Kauai's north shore was amazing-great beaches and hiking trails so lush up there and the flora was amazing.

So if we are go in February we definitely should not stay on North shore ?

I am a subscriber to your guide but had a question. My husband and I will be going to Kauai in September and we were wondering if we should splurge on a Luau. My husband is a meat and potatoes kinda guy and doesn't stray as far as food goes. Would there be something for him to eat at a luau or should we skip it?

Been there with my entire family December 24, 2008. Had lots of fun memories at the Grand Hyatt in Kauai, HI. We paid almost $8K for the one week which included hotel and buffet meals.The unforgettable luau festival on NYE. It was the best vacation we have.

My grandparents lived there in the 70’s. Oh to go back. I was five when I first went there.

At sunset go to the lawn in front of the Beach House to see the best sunsets and welcome the wild parrots back to the trees at the restaurant.

My favorite breakfast on Kaua’i is the restaurant at Koke’e State Park. The pancakes with passion fruit and macadamia sauce is fabulous.

Limahuli Botanical Gardens were amazing, highly recommended!

Questions. Love your channel. Purchased your Oahu itinerary. Going to Hawaii on a cruise ship from Vancouver round trip in April. I was wondering if you had any recommendations for beach blankets/mats? We are renting a car on each island, driving around visiting different sights and beaches and would like to keep our towels from the ship for during off instead of sitting on them.

I can attest to how helpful your guides are. There was sooooo much information in there but it didn't feel overwhelming. There are great alternatives if you don't want to do a certain thing on that day. It was awesome!! Helped us get so much more out of our vacation.

Hawaii should not be resorts. Never. I used many other sites to find local places to stay that are in touch with the nature. That's why we go to Hawaii in the first place, right?

My plan is to meet new people there to do activities together. For that I need to be spontaneous. But on the other hand, September is still a busy month and I’m afraid that I can’t find affordable accommodations when there… What do you think ? ☺️

I have been once to Kauai and will be going back in about 18 months when I turn 50. The island is breath taking and has so many awesome things to do.
The first tip I would give is take your time and slow down, Kauai moves at a different pace then most people are used to. Slow down when driving and dont be afraid to throw a "shaka" out of your window....
We stayed in Kapaa town and found it real easy to go N or S. The town is cute and I would highly recommend Java Kai for breakfast or coffee and Pono Market for a plate lunch.
If you are on the Poipu side, hit up Puka Dogs, yes its a hot dog stand, but not as you or I know it....dont leave without getting the lemonade.
As far as adventures go, kayaking, zip lining, snorkeling etc, Jordan and Erica are spot on!! Get out there and explore.

I’m going to Kauai in August with my fiancé! Can’t wait. Splitting half on the north shore, half in Poipu. This video came in perfect timing!

Kauai is great! My highlights were the turtles and seals at Poipu Beach, snorkeling with many turtles and an eagle ray at Koloa Landing, dolphin watching and beautiful cliffs on the Napali Coast tour, more beautiful views on the Awaawapuhi Trail, and the many Nene geese on the Mahaulepu Heritage Trail and the seabirds at Kilauea Wildlife Refuge.

I've done Oahu, the Big Island and a day trip to Oahu. Kauai is the place I really want to get to next. Maybe another 4-5 days on Hawai'i and then another 6-7 days on Kauai...

Food wise I recommend the Grove Farmers Market on Saturdays in Lihue and get that white Sugarloaf pineapple..Hamura Saimin and Kauai Beer Co. Are also nextdoor to each other. Love them both

Looking for a hotel which has a lazy river and water slides (not Aulani, too expensive for us).
