You do realise you're putting people in danger by calling your DIY voltmeter a "water safety sensor" right? It is NOTHING of the sort and getting people to trust a plain voltmeter to judge the safety of drinking water is highly irresponsible.

This sensor will tell you that electrolyte sports drinks are unsafe but clear water full of waterborne pathogens the likes of E. Coli or Legionella would be perfectly fine to consume. Heck there are so many things that won't change the conductivity of water that will kill you... Not only that but showing the sensor being used to "tell" if water from a mountain stream is safe to drink is beyond irresponsible.
