It’s nice to be young with good knees and a will to complete a task. Basically not being lazy as hell 🧌
ОтветитьYou are awesome 👍 you made such a great educational video on how to install drip system. And you showed us what mistakes we can make it's the best I've seen thank you very much for taking the time to make this video
ОтветитьWow, literally one of the best, most descriptive videos I have seen! Walks through and why for each step. Very digestible, thank you!
ОтветитьQuestion - I have a row of trees along my yard I would like to set up a drip line for. However, do I have to loop it back around or can I end it at the end of my trees? I have nothing else needing watering at the end of my yard. Would ending the line be ok or do I need to bring it to make a complete loop? I have about 10 trees now, and am going to plant another 12. But its just a straight line and one side.
ОтветитьJust wanted to let you know that after watching this video we were able to convert all of our flower beds, hanging pots, planters and window boxes to drip irrigation. You are an amazing and natural teacher. Thank you for taking the time to make the video and explain everything from a to z. ❤
ОтветитьLoved it …. Extremely helpful
ОтветитьI found this very helpful and explained completely with all the information I needed, thank you!
ОтветитьIncredibly well presented 👌🏻
ОтветитьExcellent video! So easy to follow and understand.
ОтветитьCan you please add like for filters THANK YOU SO MUCH
ОтветитьI agree with most of the other comments here. Super easy to learn from your video. Thank you for sharing 😊
ОтветитьVery helpful. Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you 🙏
ОтветитьThis video was excellent! I have wanted drip for a while, but I've been mystified and very intimidated by all of yhe parts and pieces. I think I might be able to do this.
Is it ok to have just one emitter for a plant? It seems that the summer temps here would evaporate any moisture from the emiters.
My ADD gets in the way and I get overwhelmed with a bunch of instructions. You were clear and concise and to the point, easy to follow. I like how you went over all the supplies and reviewed each one so I had time to write everything down. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьYou are amazing ❤
ОтветитьHi Dee, I have a question about water flow. When I’ve installed everything and it’s ready to go, with timer and all, do I turn the water all the way up. I’m afraid to turn it on too high because I’m. It certain if that’s the correct way. Can you offer some advice on this? Thank you.
ОтветитьDee you explained everything so well diagrams and measurements. You are a super person. So pleasant. 💜💜
ОтветитьI really love the way you designed your drip system. It makes so much sense to put a water line all around the property and just add to the system as needed. It's the first video that shows that approach. Brilliant! My only question is, how do you know how much time to run your timer if you only have 2 zones for all your garden? I tried to connect a vertical planter and flower pots in the same timer and almost drowned all my potted plants in just a minute a day with .5gal emitters. The vertical planter looks great with that amount of water in our super hot summer here in south Texas, but the flower pots got way too much. I ended putting a valve to be able to adjust the amount of water that flows to the pots.
ОтветитьOf the many, many videos I watched on DIY drip irrigation system installation, this is head and shoulders above the rest. Many thanks!
ОтветитьNice. As an old farmer and retired military excellent job. Well done!
Ответитьhammer arrestor? but then how do you wake up at 5am?
ОтветитьWow so impressed with your video. This is by far the best instructional video I’ve seen on any gardening projects. And you have made it look easy enough for me to actually do it! Thank you!!
ОтветитьGreat video- straightforward-very helpful!
ОтветитьSuppose that I live on the cold end of zone 5 where mid-january air temperatures regularly reach -30c. Will freezing damage any of those components?
ОтветитьThis was the last DIY drip irrigation system video I watched out of several and by far Dee's is the very best. She covers all in an easy-to-understand presentation. Now, I hope she will do one on adding a drip system to potted plants. 👍
ОтветитьGreat video for something other than raised-bed gardening! Did you ever install any shut-off valves so you could control what parts of your set-up would be watered post-manifold at your hose bib?
ОтветитьFinding a 1/2" flex pipe barb to 3/4" garden hose thread is proving challenging.
Would you please share a link for that adaptor?
We are hooking a round rubber soaker hose into a former sprinkler head where the form sprinkler head was washing out the dirt underneath a concrete sidewalk ❤
This video is ridiculous.I'm an irrigation specialist. And everything about this videos just amateurish and will ensure people like me stay employed, forever. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Just sayin.
ОтветитьThis is a great explanation of how to set up the system. I often got confused about the different sizes of tubing and how to connect them all together. Is it necessary to make a return to the main tubing when finishing a bed system? Could that be dead ended instead or is that just a personal choice. Let me know if there is an advantage to doing it that way.
ОтветитьGood video! Is there a reason why you went with 2 tube sizes 1/2 & 3/4 ? .
ОтветитьDitto on josephward9148's comment from 2 years ago. I want to go buy the parts and set mine up right now! But it's 4am and I have to leave for work in an hour LOL Thank you so much!
ОтветитьShouldn’t the pressure regulator be farther down the line so you don’t loose pressure on a long run?
ОтветитьVery good and greatly appreciated. It helped me understand the parts I needed before my trip to the irrigation store. Thank you.
ОтветитьThanks a lot for a very detailed information.
You really boosted the confidence in me to instal drip by myself.
I have been scared to try since 4 years
Great vid! I even liked the background music.
ОтветитьThanks - this was very informative and a lot simpler than I had thought it could be. Questions - how do you winterize your drip irrigation system to prevent the pipes from bursting? Also, why is your drip irrigation line tied back into your main line? Is that to prevent too much pressure in the drip line? Thanks!
ОтветитьWow. I know many people have already written similar comments, but I also wanted to share my appreciation for your content. This video really helped us see that drip irrigation is something we could do on our own. I purchased my materials from your links and just finished it today.
I have to tell you that we have watched countless videos on this subject and yours is still the best!!!
Your voice is easy to understand and very soothing, I could go on & on but we have to check that the flow is right for each adjustable dripped!👍🏻☮✌🏻
Thank you very much for this video.
ОтветитьThank you for this video. I’m just beginning my journey with landscaping. I have one question - why do you tie the drip line back into the main line at the end instead of just capping it off? Would capping it off be ask effective? Or is tying it back in necessary?
ОтветитьWhen building or modifying an irrigation system, I alway fill a thermos flask with boiling water, I can then use the hot water to soften the end of the tubing, which makes it much easier to make connections.
ОтветитьHow often do you need to change the batteries?
ОтветитьWow now I might be able to do a drip system, thank u
ОтветитьThanks for doing this. Very helpful, i finally put my irrigation in after 2 yrs of handwatering
ОтветитьHow do you connect the backflow preventer to the timer?
Ответить☺🥰🥰
ОтветитьI remember this video... It was great .. you put a lot of work into the video and the project itself.
