$51 in lumber and $680 for Kreg screws.
ОтветитьFisher quick question for you. I have the same miter saw, when i cut thick stock the blade will deflect unless i cut very aggressively. Any clue why this happens?
ОтветитьOut takes are the best to see.
ОтветитьDrew, I'm sorry to be the one to point this out, but you flipped the small and medium levels on the Tri-level planter. The plans show the small on the left but you built it with it on the right. Hehe great vid as always!
ОтветитьWhat?!? No plug made from walnut? No marriage between the Kreg jig holes and a single brass slotted screw? I am disappoint.
ОтветитьI love your editing. 👍
ОтветитьNo flathead screw?
ОтветитьAt this point we are starting to feel bad for his neighbor. He is a single dad who works in a factory 60 hours a week.
ОтветитьThat plug cutter is a good idea! don't know if it will work with older kregg jigs though...
ОтветитьThe flower boxes turned out nice, but you forgot to paint them the same color as the house or the railings. 😉
ОтветитьCRAPSTICKS! 😂
ОтветитьI know the vid is sponsored, but I feel like that rail planter could have gone together with just glue and brads.
ОтветитьNext up: Tablesaw restoration video!
ОтветитьThanks! Those are awesome. I wish I could keep a plant alive.
ОтветитьI am so saying S foils in attack position next time I'm putting up my miter wings up.
And I like my 720 Pro. Not as much as my Domino, but it's miles above other pocket jigs.
Wait?? No flathead screw?
ОтветитьThis video plants a seed!
ОтветитьDrew's next video ... table saw top restoration.
---------
Great projects, Drew!
Gave me an idea for a future project.
Whelp. Guess I know what I’m makeing for my sisters birthday this weekend
ОтветитьNice work. I feel you on the rust... I made a couple of cedar planters and left a piece on my saw. Doh. 🤦♂️
ОтветитьI have an older kreg jig. Is this one worth the upgrade cost?
ОтветитьI think it’s worth noting you probably shouldn’t use pressure treated wood for anything you want to plant to eat. Pay the extra to build it out of cedar for safety 🙂
ОтветитьYou need to get Kreg to make a slotted head pocket screw
Ответить"as good as used"
I've gotta keep this one in my pocket!
Thanks for posting...these are nice builds!!! I so appreciate your out-takes...Man I'm glad I'm not the only one who does silly things! I am such a cluts in my shop. Thanks for being real!
ОтветитьYou exited through the entrance like a true rebel
ОтветитьGreat video as always Drew the planters look amazing. And absolutely love the outtakes lol. Thanks for sharing
ОтветитьI already subscribed and bought the plan thanks
ОтветитьYou sir, are the man. I want to build a few of these for my wife
ОтветитьIt looks like you walked right out the HD any skipping paying. Then the line right after “…because I’m a cheapskate..” lol
ОтветитьThank you for sharing the video. I learned a lot of useful things while watching this video
ОтветитьOK, so... s-foils in attack position had me laughing so I missed the next 30 seconds... box designs were great and I'll be getting even more of your plans... outtakes make me feel better since I'm not alone... and your asthma attack after knocking the dust off the light fixture was just [chef's kiss] like watching myself work. Great video.
ОтветитьA special kind of stupid... As good as used... The woodworking was really good also.
ОтветитьNice looking planters. Be careful though, the Blue Kreg screws are not rated for wood treated with ACQ (Alkaline copper quaternary) and all the local treated wood uses that. It will destroy the screws in a few years. Use stainless steel if you can find ones that have the washer head.
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьI left some PT boards on my plywood top assembly table for a couple days. When I finally picked them up there was mold on the unsealed plywood. 🤦
ОтветитьNo flat head pocket hole screws?
ОтветитьPocket holes are fine, but slow and visible. I've designed, built, and sold a lot of planter boxes. Galvanized staples, waterproof PVA glue, and cedar produces the cleanest looking and most durable boxes for the same cost (or less).
ОтветитьYour neighbor is obviously part of the supply chain problem if he can’t keep what you need on hand!!
ОтветитьOkay, I know this was sponsored by Kreg, but I don’t think you needed to screw down every slat with pocket screws. That’s like $100 in pocket screws! Also surprised Kreg wouldn’t pay for the cedar. Pressure treated is not something I’d run my nice saw blades through. I love your channel, but this one felt like a reach. Also, no unnecessary walnut and not one flathead screw!
ОтветитьGive drews account back please
ОтветитьA planter I built nearly two decades ago has finally started falling apart and wife asked for a new one. The first build in this video will fit the bill perfectly! Great job Drew! BTW, your online website is showing as private. I can't get the plans from there. Keep up the awesome work!
ОтветитьIs ok to use regular outdoor glue on pressure treated wood, or do you need polyurethane glue for that?
Ответитьnice
ОтветитьI swear, in another life he was the narrator for Curious George... 🤔
Tbh, my daughter was just watching Curious George, and I opened up this video on my phone, hit play, and my eyes crossed. 😵💫
Awesome job, they are all gorgeous. And I love watching your videos!!!
ОтветитьDid you get the Kreg flat head screw kit ??? Love these planters, thanks for sharing !!!
Ответитьgreat projects....funny as ever bloopers section. And not a slotted screw in sight!
Ответить
