I think I have commented previously about DKPR's fabulous consummate performance in this particular TV Movie - But the Abhorrent Disrespect of the Police is so frustrating I am a Screamer At The Screen! :))😄😄 This is not about the usual Police process that as to be followed, however the mispronouncing of Sheila's name and judgement of Sheila's Living lifestyle / Values

Wonderfully acted! I felt her emotional tears of relief!

I am always amazed at the hubris of those who presume to know what happened, as though they know more than the person who was actually there. And in their ignorant smugness, how they can throw someone in prison, only pretending to be cocksure that what they're fabricating is true. It's disgusting!

Excellent movie played by a in my mind very good actress. But just shows how you can get convicted so easily with no real evidence.

Having worked in care and nursing home they like to confine people especially the elderly to chairs. Honestly there is so much they can still do ,however it’s not good for the staffs as it takes time and they are always on a rush to get tasks done.

The best care that she was in the process of receiving was “ home care “, can’t beat it. No getting up, eating , personal hygiene , ect ect to the clock. Back then it still would have been in a state of “ institutionalised care”, and not bordering on the personal aspects of such.

The justice system like the rest of the establishment is run by old public school friends, that is why they don't like to over turn wrongful convictions.they would rather cover up for there establishment pals than see justice done..you have to fight to prove your innocence even if these posh boys judge you otherewise......

I find it so annoying when the oh lets bring back the death penalty , i mean how many were wrongly convicted and lost their life , bit late after its all done , a silly scroll and a red ribbon to say we made big mistake and we will never do it again honest , a royal pardon it really means they royaly f**ked up and keep their names out any questions, and its what happened with poor Timothy Evans a cowardly bunch of tossers who and decided to legally murder an innocent man, they ran for cover manufactured stories , in a bid to hide their names , Tim Evans did not stand a chance , and the elite used Tim Evans, just to please the public , and another step up the ladder for them .

This was very well done. It was a horrible accident. Poor lady to be locked up for years for something she didn’t do. Justice isn’t always served but she was found not guilty and was able to live out her days a free woman. What a brave lady. Patricia Routledge excellent as usual.

What a wonderful portrayal of this lady. Unfortunately this only brings to light the injustices done to so many sitting in prisons up and down the country. Ive never heard of this so Im glad of whoever shared this. What an amazing actress Patricia Routledge is. And this film actually proves. Im pleased that this lady was actually found innocent of this.

The fact that no one mentioned in the first trial that the aunt had moderately severe dementia is mind-blowing! That's the only reason she was in that care home, to begin with. I can't believe her crappy lawyers couldn't do the bare minimum in the first trial and mention the dementia and mention that her aunt chose to not walk without assistance, not that she couldn't walk without assistance. Her aunt had fractured her wrist in a fall at the care home and had to have a cast put on it, which was due to be removed a few days after she had died. This fall caused her to be insecure with walking so she refused to walk without someone assisting her. Due to the fracture and cast, she couldn't put pressure on her wrist which is why she didn't use the Zimmer Frame. That's why Sheila chose not to take it with them when they left the home. No doubt Sheila should have been charged with negligence because she left her aunt who suffered from dementia in a car by herself in the middle of nowhere, which ultimately caused her aunt to wander off and drown, but not with murder.

Honestly her nonchalant and overly calm personality got her into this mess. When she should have spoken up with passion she sat there quiet, when the woman was gone, she barely had a reaction lol its like hellooooooo anyone in there? Shit cry make a scene do something ! Maybe then the police would not have immediately thought she was suspicious. Smh.

What it also shows is how you can be bullied by the police and the prosecution, how they can twist what you say or do to make you look guilty.
Also not all the evidence is submitted, lots left out and its too late after the trial, how many innocent people go to prison because of things like this.
