Great Mark! Such an icon, nice watch too 😮
ОтветитьWrong clasp on the bracelet for the era, I don't know why the people who have serviced this vintage model GMT master would have been so negligent to use such an unsuitable replacement for the original worn out bracelet.
Ответить500 bri'ish pounds for this amazing watch? Holy pretzel, why have they gone up so much in price then??? Is that really all from inflation? I can't believe it.
ОтветитьVostok are still making watches as robust and reliable as this right down to the acrylic crystal and the functionality.
Ответить👍👍👍👍👍😃
Ответитьwhy polishing this way, it is ruined
ОтветитьMark, you do fine work!!
ОтветитьWhen you removed the tension on the lyre for the balance assembly (?) I said to myself "here comes the dough" and I was not disappointed !
You used the green dough to remove the jewel...yay i'm learning
thank you muuuucho
way too overpolished
ОтветитьHello,
Fascinating video as always, full of useful info.
Is it Only 9010 you apply on the automatic works or some D5 as well (like on the pinion arbor)?
Also, is it 9501/DX on the base of the crown or some kind of silicon grease?
Just picked up watch repairing, thanks for no small part for your videos. Thank you Mark.
Building my skills on vintage basic movements of my collection and hopefully will someday have the necessary confidence to touch the fancy stuff.
I think you're very good, and I do enjoy watching you working on the watches... but I enjoy watching you even more, when you've a watch with real problems that challenge you.

ОтветитьIsn’t that a newer style Oyster bracelet? The bracelet is identical to the one on my cal. 16700 GMT Master from 1996.
ОтветитьI arrived here from the Wristwatch Revival channel. I absolutely love watch restoration videos and your channel has soooooo many! I burned through all the videos on Wristwatch Revival and I am happy to have found your channel with such an extensive catalogue of videos!!!!
ОтветитьThis guy seems so humble... Admitting he's not a fancy trained watchmaker from the factory but I can see his experience speaks for itself. I'll take his apprenticeship over any fancy school.
ОтветитьIt's all well, however, here in Australia we do not have access to Rolex parts. Only generic parts and there linited
ОтветитьWhen i was kid, i never understood why my grandfather paid so much money in servicing his old Cartier Santos. Now watching these videos I can totally understand why. Watchmaking is an art form. Beautiful job.
ОтветитьWhy do all you dicks reply for. He never reads or replies to them !! 🤣🤣
Ответитьouch, it was gaining 30 secs a day... that's worse than my Vostok
Ответитьexcellent work
ОтветитьThe colossal dinosaur sequently unlock because piano macroscopically bathe astride a brief butter. light, afraid ramie
ОтветитьThe black format reversely tease because meeting lilly hover for a exotic haircut. hollow, elderly sunflower
ОтветитьDon't be fooled by authorized Rolex service center technicians. They hardly have any real world experience. When you send in a watch to Rolex, they first go through an inspector to calculate and estimate the project. Once an agreement is reached, the watch is authorized to be serviced and is then assigned to a technician. All the technician does is go by the service sheets to replace all the parts required per the agreement. They mess up all the time. It pretty much works the same way as the car dealerships when dealing with your car. They pull the parts from off the shelves and don't really know how to troubleshoot or repair watches. Nowadays, the true watchmakers like Mark are far and few in between.
ОтветитьLooks down at Rolex....NOPE! But awesome to watch none the less haha. Subscribed but will always be a big Nope lol
ОтветитьIt is amazing.... I want it. :)
ОтветитьI like much this watch restoration
ОтветитьHow much
ОтветитьThis is my everyday wear. It’s a fantastic watch.
ОтветитьPerfect!!
ОтветитьLove you so much
ОтветитьBeautiful, but too expensive:)
ОтветитьWow! What a privilege to see such a skilled person at work! I watched the video from start to finish and am in awe of the precise and highly detailed work you do!! Great camerawork too! Thank you for sharing and best regards from South Africa
ОтветитьA most satisfying video, thanks for posting.
ОтветитьOne day I'm watching a video on Eastbay supply company for car restoration. Well rep had gold dust mica sand he used to buff out wiper blade mark on classic car windshield. I wonder if polishing with that stuff would help scratches.
ОтветитьNever having opened any of my real Rolex’s, thanks for showing me how the case screws work.
ОтветитьThat’s an unacceptable state to send any item to someone to work on.
ОтветитьI have Rolex GMT for 1675 era 1978 never been repair. P1.3M. here in Philippines. Contact me 09532218666
ОтветитьHow water resistant are these??
ОтветитьYou’re a true watch expert. Quite refreshing from these “know it all” watch experts. Their sole interests are o grow their channels and sell straps.
ОтветитьThe GMT is my grail watch, sadly forever, as crazy used market prices move steadily out of the solar system 😔
ОтветитьYour channel is making me think about buying tools and starting working on watches. I feel like I've learnt so much
