I can imagine my riding ancestors driving cattle through them hills and hiding in a ravine from a hot trod. :D lol. Stunning views.

Love these glimpses into perhaps lesser known, but beautiful, corners of the Scottish hills. Was just thinking it looked like the Lakes, when you pointed it out! Always wondered what the hills we look at from Back o’Skidda were like - now I know!

Did this route anticlockwise 25 years ago. A lovely walk in a beautiful and somewhat overlooked part of the country.

Took me back to when I was in my early teens. I am a Moffatonian, born and bred in Moffat 😂. Saddle Yoke was one of my favourite walks. These are called the Moffat hills. Borders are much further east.
