A more subtle abandoned mental hospital film that I enjoy is Session 9. Slow burn and atmospheric, it’s about a construction team removing asbestos from an old facility. Definitely seems to be a movie people either enjoy or find boring depending on your tastes. But I really like it.

i dont usually like found footage movies but i really like incantation (taiwanese?) and the medium (thai). super scary and the medium definitely had the gore 👍

Dude, ive explored an old abandoned hospital a bit like this one and yeah, this captures the vibes perfectly (minus the crazies and the dissapearences that I know of lmao)

I don't like that the protagonist was too dumb too live. It's scarier for me when the protagonist is clever but still in trouble. Wouldn't it be scarier if he tried to leave with the car but it was sabotaged? And it's a mystery, because on one hand the axe was put to make us leave, but someone else sabotaged the car?
On the other hand the red corridor was amazing!

Have you heard from the Wii game "Calling"? it has a cool and interesting story, also very spooky with ghosts and stuff. Please at least look into it, would love for you to play it. It was and still is one of my fav games and i loved to play it with my bff when we were younger.

A bit past halfway in and...this whole game reminds me of that Kagome vocaloid song.

The game's narration is distracting to me! Who gets attacked by a naked screeching zombie and says "wtf" 😭

TBH, I was betting on naked homeless person from the start 😂
I'm halfway through and will be surprised if it's not that.
Edit: I am oddly disappointed that it was not a naked homeless person at the bottom of the tunnel.

They went a bit overboard with the reflections in this game though. Anything remotely white is lit up like the Sun.

There's some clever storytelling here. Clearly Tim wasn't the first explorer to enter, but he was the first to leave. The living victims are intelligent, even if they can't speak verbally they're literate and creative. He's the first to leave because they weren't ready to be discovered yet. Somewhen between him and the previous visitor, they finally became ready to leave. And since they were ready to leave, to escape, they were then ready for for the horrors that made them to be discovered.

“Start with Grave Encounters” I SCREAMED I absolutely LOVE that movie and nobody ever talks about it
