I was working with a rear derailleur yesterday following the instructions in the Park Tool blue book of repairs. I hadn't thought about turning the barrel adjuster on the derailleur, as I was only turning the H & L limit screws to correct my problem.
ОтветитьAbsolutely amazing teaching. I've watched other videos that do a good job of explaining the parts and how to adjust, but pro tips like "take the alignment out of the equation" to set the high limiter makes such a huge difference.
I bought a cheap-o throw away bike from Walmart for $150, just to have for summer vacation then give away to a local charity when I go home, but now the bike runs so great I'll probably keep it.
Thank you,Sir.
ОтветитьForgot to give thumbs upp,so thumbs upp for good vid 😎
ОтветитьThanks to this video, I indexed the gears of my bicycle by myself
ОтветитьAs a Engineer, I take off my hat. This is one of the best education video ever period.
ОтветитьThis is a great video, to be fair when you have done it a couple of times it becomes a lot easier, small increments are the key
ОтветитьWow! This is how education should be done! Excellent!
ОтветитьThanks. very useful vedio
ОтветитьWhat if it will shift up smoothly, but not down smoothly?
ОтветитьW.e this mans makes ,, double it 🫶🫶🫶💯💯💯 best explanation frfr
ОтветитьWow your the Bees knees
Ответитьi keep coming on and off off this video
ОтветитьWhat a great tutorial. I exactly was having this problem with my bike. I’ll watch the tutorial again and again to fix my bike. THANKS.
ОтветитьYou are the greatest bike mechanic on the internet!
ОтветитьI've consulted this PERFECT how to video so many times for many bikes. Was going nuts recently because I couldn't quite get the indexing perfect but then after some digging realized that my faulty SRAM eagle NX 12spd is the problem - not Calvin's thorough walk through... Thanks Calvin!
ОтветитьL-Limit screw affects even 2nd and 3nd gear. I bought a brand new derailleaur and it was hard to me to shift to the lowest gears. When i unscrewed L-limit, it worked perfectly.
ОтветитьAfter watching this video, i have finally successfully adjusted the H limit screw and indexed my rear derailleur. 🤣😛 I have attended maintainence courses and watched other videos but after watching your video especially with the visuals the penny suddenly dropped...i adjusted my rear derailuer after fitting a new hub without any ghost shifting whatsoever. Thank you so very much.
ОтветитьBoth my adjustment screws cause motion. Neither are labelled. How do i determine which one is the h screw?
ОтветитьIn adjusting to the smallest sprocket the "H" screw is out pretty far. The barrel adjuster on derailleur and the handlebar are maxed out as well to get to the smallest sprocket. What should I do to put it back in balance? Do I need to loosen the cable to give it more slack?
ОтветитьBest instructional video. He really do not assume you know anything before you get to this video.
ОтветитьAfter watching several videos and my feeds jumping all over the place, this one makes sense right away. This guy is amazing
ОтветитьThe guy in the bike shop recommended this video. Now I see why. Great clarity.
ОтветитьEvery thing works but when im in the highest gear and go backward the chain falls in to second highest gear any tips
ОтветитьThanks lmao, saved me money from having to send the bike in for a tune up
ОтветитьFinally a comprehendible diy.
Thx. This video really helped me out as my system 105 was just a bit late on the shifts. Excellent explaining on the "why" is needs to be.
Thanks!!
How onnearth can a video have 10M views with 10 likes lol
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video. So clearly explained. 10/10
Ответить...I legit didnt know some of this! Thanks!
ОтветитьFinally as a Noob😂 no more asking the snobs. Fine ill do it on my own. Thanks Park Tool
ОтветитьGreat video, clear explanations and complemented with excellent graphics. Many thanks
ОтветитьThis was soo helpful! Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into those videos. Very easy to understand and so straightforward. Keep up the good effort 👏
ОтветитьThe most complete and easy to follow video ever. Simply fantastic!
ОтветитьWhy do you loosen the nut and pull on the wire?
ОтветитьBest video on the subject , thanks brother
ОтветитьEvery time my gears need indexing, I come back to this video. Still haven't learned!
ОтветитьIts actually crazy how much better this rear deraillour adjustment video is compared to all the other ones ive seen🎉
ОтветитьWow, this is an amazingly detailed tutorial, it helped me!
ОтветитьFantastic walk-through
ОтветитьAnd yet my bike is still shifting 2 gears at once on the larger cogs..
ОтветитьGreat video, so helpful. I detect a slight French Canadian accent, eh? Go Canada!
ОтветитьI cannot get my derailleur properly adjusted. It either doesn't shift up to the high gears, or it doesn't shift down to the lower gears, and solving one makes the other issue worse.
ОтветитьThank you for keeping this infrequent tuner on the right track.
ОтветитьGreat instructions, thanks. So it's not that hard for someone to screw the barrel adjuster on your bike when you're not looking and mess up your derailleur...
ОтветитьThis video is amazing. The presentation is fantastic, but the attention to detail to make it easy to understand... bloody brilliant. THANK YOU!
ОтветитьI have it adjusted to go from high gear to low nice and smooth, but it won't come back smoothly. If I adjust it to come back smoothly, then it won't go smoothly the other way again. Quite frustrating.
ОтветитьDo you generally need to adjust the detailer after replacing the chain? Or is that a sign that the new Chain might be too short/ long?
Ответить
