I look at these old films and just think how sorry I am the Germans lost.

War for most young men starts as a great adventure, it’s gives then kudos and a purpose in life.
However these young men learn very quickly that war is actually savage, brutal and tends to favour the darkest part of mens souls.
But by the time the reality of there situation sinks in it’s to late and so those who survive are never quite the same again.
Are they better men for having been there, well how many times have you heard “he never talks about it”

I watch these old films and feel bad for the German soldiers. The soldiers that didn't care about Nazis or Jews. They just went to war and did what any of us would have done for our country. Now they're all labeled as bad guys by nearsighted people.

These films, made by the Germans were shown in German Theaters to the cheers of Germans

I know it sounds insane but I feel for the horses more than I feel for the people. Those poor horses were worked half to death and then, when the 6th army was surrounded in Stalingrad, they ate most of them. Terrible.

These brave young German soldiers didn't want to b n Russia. But some insane guy with a weird mustache FORCED them.
I'd b curious to know which of them & how many survived.

The Germans were fighting against Stalin and Soviet Communism NOT the Russian/Soviet people.

These video clips are much more informative of the combat and logistical situations than any photos in the books I’ve read. 👍🏻
