How a pressure washer unloader valve works (with cut-away view)

Great vid. I wonder, whether the unloader is involved in the failure of my Kärcher 720MX, which doesn't stop the pump at maximum pressure, when the machine is on, but the spray gun isn't opened. Is there a pressure switch, which cuts the voltage to the pump? Regards Heinz

Is that ball held in place? For instance, I accidentally installed the unloader the wrong way and it flew out when I turned the water on. Would the ball have flew out too?

thanks for the video. I have a question, my pressure washer has now blown apart 2 pressure hoses. could a bad unloader valve be causing this?

I installed a new pump. Any idea why it would be throwing water from the side of the pump. From the recording your doing, it the brass male plug right above the little tag shown..

I’m having an issue with mine staying down. It’s holding the high pressure. I can see the rod come out but it still holds the pressure I can push it in and it’ll come right back down handle pressed or not
