Clickbait title.
You're forgetting that there are more ARM-based CPUs in the world than Intel and AMD combined.
Take a count of CELLPHONES sometime.
AND how vulgar it was for INTEL to enter a lawsuit against AMD
claiming AMD pirated it.....
There are a number of CPU companies. When it comes to Wintel, there are not.
Ответитьwe pronounced Cyrix - Si-rex back in the day
ОтветитьIt's /Sy/rix (as in Cycles), not /Syr/ix. 😅
ОтветитьYou guys should do a video on the other processors that made personal computers popular. Like the Zilog z80, MOS Technology 6502, Motorola 68000 and even ARM itself. Intel wasn't the only CPU manufacturer in the market back in the 70s and 80s.
ОтветитьPlease do a video on msata ssds cos no one knows they exist
ОтветитьThere were two teams in CPU: Team Blue and Team Dark-Green
There were two teams in GPU: Team Red and Team Light-Green
Team Dark-Green bought team Red and took the Red color for themselves.
Now Team Red is fighting both team Blue and team Light-Green
Which companies are which teams?
I’m an Intel guy since ever 😂 since my Pentium days! 🤓
Ответитьapple : am i joke to you?
ОтветитьUnfortunately, such short videos have the problem to remain only half-truths.
the MOS and Motorlalla processors were very popular and not X86. A then small PC Acron is now much more common than PCs, is in your pocket.
There was also much more good competition, e.g. Nex-GEN bought by AMD, the K6 were Nex-GEN development. Cyrix had weaknesses but the biggest was VIA.
It was a brilliant time, when you could install AMD, Cyrix, Nex.Gen, IDT WinChip, Rise mP6/mP6-II in a single socket.
The death of Socket 7 and the change from AMD/Intel to their own slot and later sockets, has also contributed to the extinction of the competition.
imagine intel didn't fired amd and kept them as the 2nd hand of intel ...darn it they could have made the best cpu gpu that is logically possible
Ответитьcyrix had me for a good three years in the 90's
ОтветитьActually you have the apples m1 chip.. if ypu buy a mac
ОтветитьCyrix never held a licence they reversed engineered the technology and built from the ground up to avoid patents held by Intel, Intel tried to sue but lost ever time
ОтветитьBecause IBM is military and Apple is proprietary.
ОтветитьApple: I’m gonna ruin this video’s whole career.
ОтветитьSeems like Intel and AMD have the same kind of professional relationship Pepsi and Coke have. They're "rivals" but also know without the other there's no fun competition driving each other's prices up
ОтветитьI only have one option. Intel.
ОтветитьAmd used to be green before btw
Ответитьrip ibm
ОтветитьBut amd is American or Chinese CPU ?
The AMD–Chinese joint venture is the agreement between the semiconductor company Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and China-based partners to license and build x86-compatible CPUs for the Chinese-based market.[1][2] It is an attempt to reduce the Chinese dependence on foreign technology,[3][4] but was negotiated and agreed to well before the 2018 trade war between the US and China.[1] It is similar to the Zhaoxin joint venture supported by VIA Technologies.[5]
What about M2?
ОтветитьImagine Nvidia moves into the CPU world aswell lol
ОтветитьThere was a video calked, "can this old $10 chip teally edit video" it was reguarding a chio made by neither AMD or Intel, but was made spacificalky for editing video, back in the day, used by Hollywood, and $1000 when new. The video was made to disapear real fast. Does anyone know what chip it was?
ОтветитьEasy, answer...THIS IS BECAUSE THE PEOPLES OF THE NATIONS HAVE ONLY BUY INTO TWO COMPAGNIES, ALL THE EGGS IN THE SAME PLACE' NO PATIENCE AT ALL', for the other, ALWAYS A HOOK FOR THE RACE. THIS IS THE EXPLOIT.
Ответитьbecause capitalism and copyright. yay for delaying human progress in the name of profit YAY!!!
ОтветитьWhat about IBM's processors and those quantum computers
ОтветитьNice script :3
ОтветитьCan someone make a CPU company for PCs?
ОтветитьMe Team Intel
ОтветитьSnapdragon is also join at PC processor.
ОтветитьNvidia GT730 10th Gen Processor??
ОтветитьWhat about Qualcomm?
Ответить*3
ОтветитьIntel basically used the mob to force everyone out. They allowed AMD because they aren’t stupid, and AMD still pays them money.
ОтветитьBecause why 3 hahaha if you have lucky you can get one and you want more
ОтветитьAMD and Intel: the only red and blue that's actually not hostile
Ответитьnow and apple
ОтветитьThe PowerPC architecture will always remain a big underlying player in the CPU space.
ОтветитьThere's alot of CPUs made by other companies by using ARM instead of x86 because it's depended on intel to give them the architecture (which they most likely don't have or never gonna get)
ОтветитьThe amount of capital you need to create something that decent of AMD and Intel from scratch is impossible. Especially since AMD, Intel have so many patents on different types of CPU technology.
You would need to 25 billion dollars just to do it all.
I think the answer most of you guys are probably looking for is what we probably already know if we've come to this question is that it takes 20 dip billion dollars to do a CPU start up and none of us have 20 billion dollars
ОтветитьPlease kernel I'm married lmao
ОтветитьRiscV is coming!!! man
ОтветитьCyrix is not pronounced like that, dude. Do some research before you make a video calling them "see-reeks"!
Ответитьthe 1st pc was made from the italian company Olivetti , not from ibm as far as i know , but i could be wrong
ОтветитьWhy is there only 1 OS installed on most machines?
Ответить
