ОтветитьBeautiful shots and some amazing views. Love the area
ОтветитьI went here for a field trip back when I was elementary I'm in middle school 8th but it was the best time of my life really tiring 😂😂
ОтветитьMy gf and I go a couple of times a month from Spring to Fall! Love hiking various trails at Mt. Rainier! Haven’t gone on this trail, so we might have to try it next time.
ОтветитьThank you Allison I’m going to be exploring Washington in the next few days and will definitely check out this hike. You asked about opinions about thru hikes. I did some of the John Muir trail seven years ago. Started at Mammoth Lakes and went south and went up Mount Whitney. It was 16 days. There is a ranch that you sent through food to and then there’s another out near independence to put food in to come get. Altogether it was 160 miles of John Muir with the Exter 7 miles out and 7 miles back to the trail for the food. 175 miles took 16 days. Excellent beautiful hike. You do need a permit and I highly recommend hiking in early August. Not one mosquito bite.
ОтветитьAlthough I admire your independence, I am one to travel solo around the world, picking places that are safe for solo females. I am a local in Washington and have done a number of hikes, over 50 plus -- my concern is hiking alone. Any animal can come after you, including a human. I've heard a number of women get "mobbed" on hikes (even rapped). There is no one out there to help you but you and a cell phone will not help. Please be wary about certain hikes, especially ones that you have not been on. I recommend a busier hike like the Mt. Si hikes in Snoqualmie. Yes, it's busy but at least there are people who will be notified in case something happens to you. Again, I am an outdoor enthusiast and a snowboarder in my 40's with 2 daughters who are avid outdoor enthusiasts (they are now in the Navy). Safety first is extremely important in the outdoors. Looking after you, Washington state friend...
Ответитьare dogs allowed???
Ответитьis this hike doable in november?
ОтветитьPeople who hike alone: you are awesome!!!
ОтветитьWill you do a what’s in my day bag for hiking video? TIA!
ОтветитьSo rare to be up there all alone. Especially on such a beautiful day! What a treat!
ОтветитьWe females all dream of hiking alone because we can't under normal circumstances. It's a marvelous thing to be able to commune with nature alone, but it's dangerous. #1 predators are men and have been since the dawn of time. #2 natural wildlife (bears, cougars, though weapons can help, see #1). #3 weather (think lack of preparedness for whatever the weather is or might turn into). #4 personal injury (tripping, falling, breaking a bone). It's always good to have a second person so none of those threats get you. You can get away with it a few times, maybe even always, but others haven't and it's cost them their lives. Does this mean don't do it? NO. We should. But be prepared. Assume the worst, plan for it, but hope for the best.
Bless you, for the information you provide. May all women be empowered through you. You're an amazingly potent motivator. I can't wait to get out there by myself, too!
Solo hiker? So amazing 😍
ОтветитьHi from turkey. Thank you for vıdeo
ОтветитьBeautiful! I hiked there sometime last year and it was about 7 miles, it’s super worth it!

ОтветитьI needed a head start of what im about to see when i go there tomorrow XD
ОтветитьGo solo girls!
ОтветитьOne of my fave hikes!!!
ОтветитьTry a section of the Pacific Crest Trail. Maybe from Chinook Pass to White Pass it's 27 miles could be done in four days and you do get see two different forests, the Mt Rainier border mountains are like the park, after crossing the Bumping River you start to experience the Tumac Plateau an extensive lava field with lots of lakes and lava and dryland forest.
