What is the lightest shade?

Just came across your account and enjoyed your review of this foundation and powder. Now I have to have both! Not sure what color I to order in the foundation. I’m light/neutral, is usually a B20 in Chanel for summer and B10 in winter. Do you think the Pure Ivory would work?

Hello Miss Abby! You know I am so loyal to all my Cle de Peau foundations, with that said, I think I may need this one! Does this foundation feel more or less moisturizing than the new version of "The Foundation"? I love "The Foundation" for the very reasons you described about this one such as the foundation looking even better after many hours of wear and a skin like finish.

You look lovely in this. How does it compare with the Chantecaille Future Skin? Or the Chantecaille Skin Tint? Because I really love the way it looks. And it wears like iron. But it would hurt to spend that much. Thanks for the video!💚

I agree that Pure Ivory is the best match in the Concealer foundation. It just blended so easily onto your skin. You can always add bronzer and blush for color. But again, you look beautiful with no makeup because your skin is in as perfect condition as it gets. You don’t have visible pores. This is stunning on you. ❤

I'm really excited to see another review of the infamous la prairie skin caviar foundation. Personally, I think the shade Warm Beige matches your skin tone alot better. I don't know why but I do not like the shade pure ivory at all. It kind of has a chalky look to it. Can't really describe it. I've tried it numerous times and I end up getting warm beige instead as it really matches my skin tone and I feel the same with your skin. Warm Beige just looks so natural and luminous whereas pure ivory looks just ok. Nevertheless, you do you, Abby! Just my opinion ;) Have a good one!

Abby, I always love to hear about new products especially La Prairie. I’ve heard many good things but it’s too much for me. I’m only at the Chanel Sublimage level 😆. But I always love learning about new products and your skin looks beautiful!! 😊❤️

Oh Abby , this foundation was absolute fail to me. I tried this around 6-7 years ago. And after a few attempts, I threw it away😳😂 I bought for my b-day, and maybe because of my super humid climate , even in the end of September.,after 8-10 hrs this became like mask, not fresh. And it’s too heavy for my liking. Considering I love that makeup no makeup look. Now Valmont one is not so light either, but It does become more beautiful after hrs, and wears off naturally . This is my holy grail foundation! I’ve been using it for years and every time I think I’ve found something cheaper that’s just as good I end up going back to it. I’m 44 and have dry skin but use good derm-grade skincare, still my skin EATS moisture, every foundation goes dry on me! Not this. My skin truly looks better as it wears throughout the day. I try every new release on the market the only thing I can compare it to is the Chanel Sublimage SERUM foundation (the one in the pump that you can only buy direct from Chanel) that one has less coverage but has the same “skin looks better as it wears” effect for me. Thanks for the review Abby! I was happy to see the other shades, I too can wear 3 different ones in the range which is a little frustrating picking the perfect one! Just a tip when Saks does their 15% off beauty this is included!

I loved the old formula in the tan container before it became caviar foundation. It was only $150.00 then. Not inexpensive. But they changed the colors too.

Hi Abby. So after watching both La Prairie vids, it’s really hard to c a difference because ur skin is pretty in both.😅. I def like the ivory shade better than the beige u swatched today. I am ur skin twin and I cringe in too yellow of a base. I love the Cle de Peau concealer stick, one of my top five HG and repurchased over and over. In a previous comment, I mentioned that the Caviar made me break out, that I as over 20 years ago. Am tempted to try again.😂 Mayb a can go to store and score a sample again and c. Or Nordies has good return policy online too. Straight up, if u could choose ONLY one from all ur beautiful foundations and wear it everyday, which one? Yes. As we get older, skin care is everything. Thanks for this review even tho my wallet is always in trouble when I watch u!!😂😂

How would you compare the La Prairie to the Chanel sublimage foundation in the jar?

Of course, any foundation or skin tint looks amazing on you because of your beautiful skin. $280 is a bit steep for me but for those that can afford it, it's beautiful. I'm not convinced however, that it's worth the price still. I just watched a Nikki La rose video and she absolutely loves the LaPrarie powder, also very expensive but as she is a make up artist, I totally get it. Thank you for sharing and yes, I would wear the same shade as you put on in this video. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Abby, thank you so much for this review. As I told you in your previous review about the cushion foundation, I was afraid that this foundation would be too heavy on the my skin. Now that I have seen it in action, on your skin, I have to say that it's really amazing... it was exactly what I was looking for because I have dry mature skin and also beacause I live in the French Riviera and have a strong heat wave . Now I really need something comfortable and light, that does not emphasize the texture and leaves my skin hydrated. So ....I have to but it. I have to decide the color, I have the honey beige in the cushion but I saw on the website the 03 satin nude and I don't understand the difference... the colours are not well explained. Thank you so much ❤
