If you put the rhythm switch between two selections and power off and on you get hidden rythm.
ОтветитьCan you please share the name of the songs you played?
ОтветитьExcellent vintage instruments.
ОтветитьI had one and my parents forgot to bring it back from France! I wonder where it is now. Making someone happy I am sure!
ОтветитьThis was my first keyboard back in the day. Great to see it revived here with such care and attention to detail. Thank you for this, Keen!
ОтветитьHey keen on keys or anyone listening I have a Casio that looks exactly like this one but above and below the Casio logo it says Casio in Arabic and the other half of the keyboard is in Arabic lettering. I can’t find a manual but it reads Casiotone AT-40 the power light turns on when I switch it but no sound from the Keys even with the volume on.
ОтветитьMy grandpa had that keyboard
ОтветитьDid Depeche mode use this
ОтветитьThank you for this beautiful and compreensive video. You always provide a joyful time with amazing talent while showing love and care for these vintage gems !!!
ОтветитьCan I ask is the line out able to connect to pedals and interface? Thanks you♥️
ОтветитьI’m lucky enough to own a mint MT-45 and an MT-46. The audio difference that is obvious to me is the MT-46 has a much louder amplifier, whereas the MT-45 is the best looking of all the Casios. The main voice chip is different than other Casios and while limited has a really appealing warmth that leaves the MT-65 sounding rather thin and anemic.
ОтветитьDo you own all of these Casio keyboards? Like the MT 60 and all those in the "same chip" montage? 😮
ОтветитьAs a 12 year old I bought this new back in 1983......
ОтветитьYour videos are perfect--the history lesson, the high production values for both video and audio, the photography, the tear-down, the thorough look at functions, everything. I've been watching all your videos one by one, but came back to comment on this one since it's also got my favorite multi-track. Looking forward to any more Casios, but especially the MT-60 as it seems a bit different from the rest. Thanks for your work on these!
ОтветитьI'm enjoying these videos, also impressed with your playing! I got a PT20 for Christmas, around 1984, I'd actually asked for a VL1 so in many ways it was a bit of a step up although the VL1 had some great features sadly missing from the PT20. I remember playing the MT45 and 65 one time in the shop though, I thought they were wonderful at the time, and its great to hear them again.
ОтветитьHello Keen on Keys, Love your videos! My MT-46 is slightly out of tune and I can't find any tuning pot on the back like on my other casiotones from this era. Do you know if there is any way to tune it? Thanks !
ОтветитьI have the identical Casio MT 46 it turns on, i can hear the "click" the power on led works but i have no sound. Any ideas ?
ОтветитьI got one recently in pretty good condition for 50€. I can't believe it is 40 years old, this design is so awesome and timeless.
ОтветитьThis keyboard has amazing waveforms. I sampled/isolated the waves and drums in .WAV format for usage in full on music production. The results have been surprising and almost spectacular at times. The sounds are good for deep electronic house and sweet ditties. Thanks for this video, fortunately, mine still functions correctly.
ОтветитьI missed this keyboard 🎹 😞 nostalgic
ОтветитьThe earlier 80's Casios look like they were adapted from the old Star Wars movies. Which obviously, is way cool!
ОтветитьAmazing work!
ОтветитьThe drums seem like they sound great on this. Nice snappy snare. Really good outro song!
ОтветитьI would like to see a short behind-the-scenes of these videos sometime. These are always so well done, it would be a great learning experience for those wanting to make similar content.
ОтветитьVery good I like
ОтветитьBought a track today! Nice!
ОтветитьNice video! How many keyboards do you have? What would be your top 3 best and worst? Keep up the good work.
ОтветитьThe MT-45 walked so the MT-68 could run
ОтветитьHello, I have an MT-100 with a C key with a lateral movement, seem loose. How to fix it? Thanks
ОтветитьHi, i owned a mt46 in the 80's, and you forgot about the "hidden rhythm" 😊 it can be found if you turn off the power, put the rhythm selector IN BETWEEN any rhythm presets existing, then turn on the power, and it s done, at least it used to work on mine
Cheers
Fantastic video! I have one question: which power supply do you use?
ОтветитьYou're THE BEST keen on keys !
ОтветитьI have a lovely MT-65... love these keyboard!
ОтветитьFound a MT-46 today for 20 euros... complete ! Except for the alimentation, but... not a problem. Pretty machine !
ОтветитьThe music in your videos is amazing! Do you know how I can get hold of kt?
ОтветитьI'd watch all of your videos, just for the tasty playing but instead, I get that and one of the best, most comprehensive reviews of classic keyboards! Thanks for the great content.
I'm about to watch a bunch of your episodes while I open up my Bontempi Europa Series ES 6500 for a cleaning and to repair whatever is causing the speaker crackling - have you any experience with it? it's got midi in and out and a whole bunch of settings, like stereo chorus, vibrato, sustain, a recorder and a bunch of rhythm accompaniments and an arpeggiator switch, among other features. Quite a unique and fun keyboard.
Well made informative video, Well done!
Ответитьyou gave this old casio so much love
i think that is pretty awesome
you can access another rhythm preset not indicated by positioning the selector between two presets
Ответить@KeenOnKeys - great job on the clean-up and repair and nice to see you addressed the issue of buttons, these really are difficult to find and replace. These early casios are overlooked and they sound great, not meaning realistic, but pleasant. Which would you say is favourite of the [semi] analogue MT's - the MT 30, 40, 45, 60 or 65? My personal preference is the MT 60 for looks and its close between the 65 and 60 for sound, the MT 65 has more functions, but I like the sound and the arpeggio on the 60.
ОтветитьΙ have been binge watching all the videos of your channel and I have to say, it reminds me of the legendary weltenschule site which I used as a guide in searching and bying cool retro keyboards.. Are you somehow related to that project??
ОтветитьOh man I am so hooked on the last tune you play! I think I need to play/cover it in some sense - there should be a place - maybe a facebook group - that cheap/retro home keyboard fans would meet and ramble about them.
Ответитьwow the final tune is a killer!!!!!
ОтветитьGreat review! It would be great if there was a possibility to separate the arpeggio from the drum patterns, so that it could be played alone
ОтветитьI built and started my whole music career around this technological marvel
Ответитьplease review the casiotone lk s250 ! I just want to hear you talk about it lol.
