Managed to solve this one on my own. I was pretty surprised because usually you need some fancy tricks to solve the ones posted here. I think deducing the pairs in blocks mainly bailed me out on this puzzle.
Ответитьi understand the empty rectangle logic but spotting it THAT fast is crazy. simon is a beast fr
ОтветитьI got to admit. Need to watch it again. The 57 pair and the empty cell logic has me baffled. What’s pointing? To me wasn’t very clear. I know you painted the columns and rows but I still didn’t get it.
Ответитьplease explain more, i reslly don’t get some of the things you talk about
Ответить좋아요.
ОтветитьIs there a way you can help me with my sudoku? I’m stuck and would love for you to help me! (Learning advanced techniques)
ОтветитьThe empty rectangle was new for me. A think this will be helpful. I wonder why it is not called an empty T? The locations where 7 could go formed a T. Anyway, either name is fine the effect on the puzzle is the same. So, if a 7 was located in the top of the T then a 7 could not go in cell 1,9. And, if a 7 was in the verticle of the T, then then cell 6,2 could would be a 5, which forces cell 6,9 to be a 7. So again cell 1,9 can not be a 7. Therefore a 7 would either be in 2,8 or 2,9. This gives a 7 pointer. The 7 pointer eliminated forced the 6, 7 and 2 in the top row middle box. The puzzle was a clean solve after that.
Ответитьvery useful insight into your process
ОтветитьI'm still trying to figure you the empty rectangle logic, seems to have come in really clutch
ОтветитьI always struggled on hard sudokus. After watching this video this morning I finally solved the hard daily sudoku! Thanks for the video and making it easy to follow
ОтветитьWow - it is amazing how fast your mind works. I can’t keep up!
ОтветитьI entered this puzzle into my Sudoku App…it indicated that the puzzle did not have enough data points to be completed. ?/
ОтветитьI’m stumped! Why do we know that the 7 can only be in the second row (last square) and not the first row?
ОтветитьThis videos are more confusing than helpful. How are there so weird logics in this. I though it was suppose to be a simple game.
ОтветитьThank you Mark!! My wife and I bought the Sven's Sudoku pad App, and got stuck on some of the default puzzles!
Ответитьthe empty rectangle was new to me. thank you!
Ответитьwhy cannot the pencil marks be placed in 123, 456, 789 order instead of random. With poor aging eyesight the challange is to read it, not solve it.
ОтветитьLooked at puzzle for 5 seconds and put the 6 in Lower left area by default
ОтветитьI was so frustrated with you putting the 1s...it was so clear.
ОтветитьThank you, this was the exact next step I needed to improve my sudoku logic
ОтветитьThe 5 7 pair was key for me
ОтветитьYou say 7 either points across or points down, Why couldn't it do both?
ОтветитьThe "magic" to me is noticing the 57 pair in row 6. I guess you would call it a "hidden pair" because other digits could, at first glance, go into those two squares. Then the next step of noticing the empty rectangle, for my brain, is plausible. But the hidden pairs, actually hidden anything, is really hard for me to see and notice.
Ответитьi don't understand the logic on how you mapped out the 7's in upper right corner box
ОтветитьJust seen this one. Very pleased to have been able to solve it without using any markings.
ОтветитьYou solve these things so strangely. I'm sure your system works for you, but it seems terribly complicated. Why not just make notes on which numbers can fit in each square and approach it from that angle?
ОтветитьWhy not start with the obvious.
Look at columns and rows.
Column 7
1 @ 8 only one position
The 8 in box 2 @ 3 then forces 8 into box 1
Row 3
2 fits only in row 3 now, into box 3
6 in box 9 column 9 only leaves 1 position for 6 in box 3
1 3 8 2 9 6 all in position in box 3.
Try it without notes.
I don’t at all understand what he means a number can only point in two directions??? What is pointing? Is it something to do with the design of the digit 7 how it has a horizontal line at the top followed by a diagonal line connected to it?
ОтветитьMore confusing than the puzzle itself
ОтветитьI don't understand the logic of the empty rectangle. What do you mean that a number can only "point" down OR across? It points both along columns and rows at the same time. And what is special about R1 C2 - why did you pick that cell, and not, for example, R1C9?
Ответитьthis helped me a lot, thank you!
ОтветитьYou’re a genius
Ответитьsorry.......you LOST ME on the 7 empty triangle hint..........loved the puzzle anyway, THANKS!
ОтветитьTo get any benefit from this video,, the expert needs to explain his moves, not just say, this number can go here, or there.......why?
ОтветитьHow do you get stuck at Sudoku?
It's just a matter of taking on every failed combination of numbers until you get the right one.
Nice
ОтветитьGenial!!!
Ответитьi am a beginner in sudoku whos only technique is cross hatching
