For a few years I would “take back” the word “jacket” every time I heard someone say it by saying it backwards (“tekcaj”). I did this because of the song “Short Skirt/Long Jacket” by Cake. Specifically, the verse that goes “and a loooooong, loooooooong…. Jacket!”…
I wanted the keep the jacket going longer and longer. I even knew how insane this would sound because I would wait until I was alone to say “teckaj, teckaj, teckaj” or how ever many times it was said aloud.
