dont go to 5k dont shoot 60fps dont do slow mo dont do anything this camera was built for. better off pulling out your old razor or use a 4k dash cam
ОтветитьHow long does it take for a gopro hero 9 to cool down after 5 minutes of shooting?
ОтветитьI just bought go pro hero 8 black today. I found overheating within a few minutes during the beginning of setting . Is it a normal ?
ОтветитьMy Gopro Hero 9 Black overheats faster with the media mod on. I followed all your tips here but it still overheats. A big factor is our weather, I film outdoors under the sun and our temperatures here can reach above 40 degrees celsius.
Ответитьwhy even get it if you can't use a lot of the camera's features.
ОтветитьGoPro 9 will last running about 2 hours with one full charge of battery. So I was planning to record continuously on the highway to mountain pass walk in Shikoku Ohenro pilgrimage as long as possible. But every time I am shooting, it stops recording in about 35 minutes by heat. Is any solution?
ОтветитьIts something wrong with gopro hero 9, its overheating bad, and just when its on
ОтветитьI'm kayak fishing so I have to leave my camera recording to be able to get the shot of the fish hitting, which one could never predict. I overhear whenever it's sunny outside.
I do shoot in 60fps, I will try to bring it down to 24 and see if that helps. Thanks for the tip.
So, your camera is off most of the time...so, it doesn't overheat. Brilliant advice.
ОтветитьWhy buy a 5k camera if you can’t even use it
Ответить5k 60 lets me crop to 4K. Insane to say “change how you film”
ОтветитьNo disrespect intended but this is the first video from you guys that I feel like you kind of….missed the point and gave, idk, somewhat insulting suggestions, like when apple said “you’re holding it wrong”.
You didn’t even criticize GoPro for this I don’t get it
They should stop making them Black. They wouldn't overheat nearly as much, perhaps!
ОтветитьMy question is... about GoPro 9, I did have an overheating issue after a couple virtual drives (which is the only thing I use it for) and I was really pissed since that day the temperature was 12° C and I've never had overheating problems either with Gopro 6 or even the old GoPro 3 while filming at very hot tempueratues of around 35° degrees. I've heard it has something to do with the firmware that has to be UPDATED, which I just did.... TELL ME THAT'S THE ISSUE, AND IT ISN'T ABOUT THE CAMERA ITSELF, WHICH IS MY FEAR AND WOULD MAKE ME GO COMPLAIN TO THE STORE OF COURSE 😒🤬
ОтветитьThis is really bad i didnt know about that i prefer everyone to not buy gonpro cause its heatup i just bought and i feel it went to heat very badly i prefer people to dont buy gopro
Ответитьif the camera can't handle it and overheats in normal room temperature they should not promote it as a 5k30 or 4k60 fps camera it's that simple, there are a lot of reasons to want to record for 1 hour+ driving hiking fishing, and any real-time videos.
yes, your tips prevent overheating but also prevent using the camera for what a lot of people bought the GoPro for. almost feels like you are paid by GoPro. ;)
Here is a real tip that the only way I got the camera to work properly for long recordings. remove the battery and use an external power bank. also don't use the media mod it causes the camera to use more power and overheat even more, or even better buy an Osmo action. and don't make the mistake I did and waste money on GoPro.
I use it to record tennis matches... When I play. I can't stop the camera (high wall mounted, btw) every time I change court. Yours is not a solution.
ОтветитьHey. Im hoping you guys might help....
I lost three days of a project because the camera simply stops recording without a beep. I stay away from the HEVC (I wont get too much into that but its such a clear cashgrab to force everyone to license this new proprietary software). I have the front screen always on and mirroring the back, so I can see when its recording. All looks fine but when I upload to my hard drive, half the files are cut off.
I just want to get this thing to be usuable. As it is, I cannot risk missing recorded footage, so if I dont get an answer, I will probably return this thing, and go back to a 720p camera, and thats if I bother with my channel as it is.
I have a Hero 3 that works great still (its been my dash cam for 10 years, never overheated, even in a hot car, never cut off recording and survived a nasty car crash). Why is it that Gopro doesnt know how to make a camera anymore? All I know is, they lost me as a customer for life. Its how I role. This to be was akin to being mugged.
i usually ride for 55 km average w a 34° C (93.2° F) on my bike, and the hero 9 stays on the handlebar while on road and chest while the offroad, do you think that'll work too for me?
thx
Giovanni
What about the videos that are meant for education that require more than 20 min or diy videos that can’t be done within 20min?
ОтветитьGood information,.. Tq 👍
ОтветитьIt be nice if GoPro made a camera that doesn’t overheat…
ОтветитьWanted to follow up. Lowering the frame rate + using an aluminum case helped but didn't resolve my issue.
One very easy solution did solve the overheating issues I was encountering allowing me to record for 10+ hours at a time.
I made a quick video on the solution, but want to share it here with you and your audience. The solution is to remove the battery when using an external power source.
Thanks again for the advice. You two make very informative content.
So just leave the camera off and it won't overheat. Got it. Thanks.
ОтветитьThe second ever use with my Hero 9 overheated in 20 minutes 4K 30FPS with Media Mod. We had to shut it off, wait 20 mins and then continue the shoot.
ОтветитьHi, how is gopro 9 in sunny day on 38 40 degrees? Is working or is heating and close itself like i have in dji osmo action? How much you can film in hot temperatures and how much it takes until it close? We want to use it in Egypt on beach, pool. Thanks
ОтветитьOk cool, being on motorbike and having my camera on top of my helmet I will stop every 5-10 min to turn on/off my gopro. Great idea
ОтветитьI will say this...watching hours and hours...I do long format episodes, and they do A LOT better, plus other guys in my field also do the same. Plus working on a car, we do a lot of FF stuff, so that needs long format videos. Its pretty bad. I aint gonna lie. Its at the point where Im debating on going back to my Canon Rebel...its just the issue of sound quality...
What gets to me is when people (not you guys but in general) marvel at tech advancements...but, back in the day products that overheated like this would never be released. Imagine a car that you had to pull over if you drove more than 5 minutes at a time...thats insane.
My camera heats up just by turning it on and setting up the settings. Batter life sucks..
ОтветитьDude, your accent would make my camera overheat too.
ОтветитьThese tips might really help Hero 10. Again, you need to do a specific video on Hero 10 to give optimized settings to take advantage of its capability while avoiding overheating.
ОтветитьUnderstand why you’ve stated the GoPro won’t overheat when filming short clips. Though not everyone is interested in vlogging or content creation. So basically if anyone wishes to create a Timelapse they won’t be able to, due to the GoPro heating issue. I can get just over an hour from my hero9 by removing the battery and connecting a power bank.
ОтветитьI was charging mine and it became very hot. So I changed the charger and now it’s cooled down
ОтветитьThanks a lot. Very informative . My GoPro 10 got extremely hot and shut itself at about 77 % of charging. Can you advice on that
ОтветитьAloha~ is there mirrorless lens for gopro10blk? Mahalo!
ОтветитьUseless info. For the price of these, they shouldn’t overheat and I should not be limited to recording time due to the issue they have. I have had mine overheat and shutdown when it’s 60-70° outside. They’re junk
Ответитьwaste my 2 minute shit faces talking about heating problem they never face
ОтветитьOne more thing noticed today if i keep of GPS heating rate reduce , is there any other issue like sd card sandicsk extreme using ,people says use extremely pro and Samsung card...What you say these factor reduce the heating issues
ОтветитьAfter start video shoot after 4 5 minutes my go pro 10 whole body get heat warm warmer with time .Are you all feel same ...setting 1080 or 4k same body heats we can feel whole body haeted ..
ОтветитьMake senses!
Ответитьcrappy advice and I hope your boyfriend ain't proud of wearing that Russian colored shirt if he's a Russian you should be disgusted about what his country is doing right now
ОтветитьI just put a wet cloth over it, it gives it that little bit of extra time before it dies on me agan
ОтветитьWhy not make a camera that doesn't overheat?
What if I want to use my gopro for a Car camera? For accident protection and to make accident films.
Hi what can I do to my goprohero8.since I updated my goprohero8 I took 2 minutes vedio to 3 minutes cut it off because of heating..what do the problem of my goprohero8 mam?
ОтветитьMust not live in Florida. Can barely run it 5-10 mins. What is the point of having such high settings if u can’t even use it.
ОтветитьFrom my perspective I think splitting of videos into 4GB make sense. For eg. if we shoot 64GB video without splitting, it is going to be very difficult to import or work with. Of course unless we are using a decent computer.
Ответитьmy hero 9 is overheating every time every single time is one of the worst GoPro that ever I owned
ОтветитьMy gopro 10 is consuming more charge and overheating after installing media nod
Ответить
