Ответить👍🏻
ОтветитьFollowed recipe exactly & it would of been faB if it wasn’t soooo salty. I’ll try again with less salt
ОтветитьAwesomeness
ОтветитьWhat is rocket surgery?
ОтветитьGreat video up until the “western ingredient” part. Uncle Roger would not like this lol

ОтветитьSubscribed because of diamond krystal.
ОтветитьI'm in illinois, so chow mein refers to something a little more fried, a bit drier and crisper, whereas lo mein is softer and saucier
ОтветитьWhat can I use instead of wine? Any substitute please
ОтветитьWhere can I get the printed version of the recipe please!!

Ответить"Let's not start a war between the east and west" starts a war between the east and west
ОтветитьAnother good substitute for oyster sauce I found was hoisin sauce, I highly doubt it's comparable to vegetarian or vegan oyster sauce, but it's something else if the other two options don't work for whatever reason.
ОтветитьWow 😩 I knew this would make me hungry. Gez that looks so good!!!
ОтветитьFor once a video that delivers as promised! Much love, Jason. I've always loved classic restaurant beef chow mein, but never come close to replicating at home. This is such a thorough walkthrough from start to finish. I had wondered, for example, what noodles to buy many a time. I'm now using the exact brand recommended from my 99 Ranch Market. Tonight was the 3rd time I've made this and it was a home run. I took a bite of the beef and it tasted by texture just like the restaurant classic! And you know with inflation these days a takeout beef chow mein where I live in California is $15 to $18 before tax. I mean, no thanks. But thanks for this! 🎉
ОтветитьIt could be just me, but the beef undergoing this treatment lost flavor. I think I will try the cornstarch velveting method next time.
ОтветитьJason has cracked the formula! <3
ОтветитьGood job
ОтветитьUse tenderizer for beef or papaya. ,baking soda is not bad. Too
ОтветитьI laughed a few times. Thank you.
ОтветитьLKK premium oyster sauce i only use for special occasions. the red panda bottle by LKK is fine for every day use. However how much vegetables and so forth in my stir fries i don't taste that huge of a difference and I'm far from an 80 year old man or anyone who smoked 10 packs of cigarettes a day.
ОтветитьI did it and it was amazingly good ^^ thank you for the recipe i keep it safe ^^
ОтветитьUPDATE: stellar recipe!! Excited to make it with an actual wok because noodles were flying all over the stove 😅
ОтветитьFound this video and I'm super excited to try it!! I'm the main cook in my home and I've been trying and failing to make lo mein that I cared about, so this looks very promising!! Thank you for the humor and the advice 😊
ОтветитьChow Mein is good.
ОтветитьI'm so excited to try this recipe for fresh spaghetti!
Ответить👩🍳🍽👩🦼🌴
ОтветитьThe secret is in the MSG.
ОтветитьDude you sure you not chinese?? You do it better than them lol. This video and recipe was so wholsome it buggled my mind. Had to give you the compliment you deserve. Well done sir!
Ответить👏👏👏👏👏👏 Nice! You did it better then Jamie Oliver on asian food. Hopes uncle roger approves.
Ответитьi made with with what i had in the house and it was pretty good, used about a millions substations though!
didnt have any beef,
used flour instead of cornstarch (lol)
veg stock instead of chicken
black pepper instead of white
accidently used about 10x too much sesame oil
bit of teriyaki sauce instead of oyster sauce
red pepper instead of cabbage
no ginger
no beansprouts
no scallions
no shaoxing wine
no wok
It’s not rocket surgery.
ОтветитьDuuuuuuuuuude! This came out AMAZING! I'm always looking to male the tastes i love at home and your recipe, secrets, and techniques NAILED it! Thank you for this video!

ОтветитьOyster sauce was created on accident. Cook forgot oyster soup on stove, cooked down to a rich amazing sauce, without a strong oyster flavor. Oyster sauce a staple in Hawaiian cooking. Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьLol this looks so good please pray for my waistline. It may be in trouble Lol 😊
Ответитьi just wish they would pick one or the other bc when i go from one place to the other and get a different dish than expected is mildly sad. ill eat either, but my opinion still stands.
ОтветитьI'm going to the Asian market and getting me some xiao shing redemption. lol
ОтветитьThanks so much for this video
ОтветитьKeep those noodles long don't mess with my longevity lol
