I don’t understand why they have to be so ugly to her. That doesn’t make any sense to me.

This seen shows me 4 beautiful women, who’s radiance comes from inside and outside.

Rachel, who instead of leading with money led with her knowledge and experience, Who through just being a person, was able to make a Royal who felt like she needed to be secluded feel like she wasn’t so alone in her ideals.

Astrid, who in the wake of all she’s been through still shows up. Still puts on a brave face because she is just that, a brave woman. Astrid is what every little girl and woman should aspire to be.

Ahma (I hope I spelt that write), who shows us that while yes out can be very traditional it doesn’t mean you have to be stuck in your ways. They said she never comes to these things, but for her granddaughter, anything. she would do anything to see her happy. I’ve her from a lot of Asian community that this wouldn’t really happen. And her line of “family doesn’t say thank you” is so heartwarming.

And last but not least, the last aunty who complimented Rachel. We all have that aunty who isn’t like the rest, who although still follows tradition isn’t a complete irate BITCH like most would be. She’s sweet and humble, and you can tell she’s a very confident person.

These 4 women are examples of what a true woman should be.

They all talk about Rachel and Nick but nobody talked about Astrid walking her grandma on the isle while just learning about her husband's affair and betrayal while having a composure to hold herself together with such class and grace.

Nick is honestly the worst; he knew what his family and society were like and yet he didn't even give Rachel a heads up so that she would be prepared. He should have arranged for her to have a proper place to sit so that she wouldn't be embarrassed. Like, he has all the money and connections to get her a proper wardrobe for special events or at the very least a chauffeur to get the wedding, but he didn't even do that. What if Rachel did have her friend there to help her? What if she hadn't made those few genuine connections with people who had her back? Literally, everyone was rooting for her to fail and Henry just tossed her, the woman he claims he loves and wants to marry, into a sea surrounded by sharks and abandoned her to sink or swim.

That’s the thing, Nick’s mum didn’t hate Rachel but basically saw a young woman that she wanted to be, she should’ve been instead of this pathetic woman in the shadow of her mother-in-law. Nick’s mother didn’t bring up her own son because evil granny wanted him to herself. Rachel was everything she had the potential to become but too scared of her mother-in-law and the wealth that her life entitled her to be. Throughout the film, it seems Rachel was the epitome of what a true powerful woman was all about, she even got Nick’s mother to shaft the old granny’s wishes by giving her son her blessing and gave the beautiful Astride the strength to leave her cheating husband. I totally ❤️♥️ this f@%king movie!

I never noticed this until now when Rachael and Astrid held hands before they sat down; it literally shows that these two are independent, sophisticated fighters because if Rachael weren’t fighting to be in that row with her power of knowledge and bravery, she wouldn’t be able to hold hand with Astrid, a successful, sophisticated woman. This is the most underrated woman empowerment scene ever.

I bet Kris had to pay to get into the movie.

Is it me or is Rachel’s outfit almost an updated version of Eleanore? Same color almost but more subdued and a floral motif but for a younger, more modern woman.
