can you do a trace say of a fish for an engraving and set it to cut the perimeter of the fish . so you will then have a fish shape as your picture and the body is laser engraved. I'm sure there is a way to do this if so can you show us please.Thank you so much.

Running macOS using supplied cable using an USB-A to USB-C adapter. Xtool D1 10 w

The only software that connects is XTool Creative Space. It runs on this software.
I am unable to get so lightburn or laser box software to discover D1. Kind of weird seeing how laser box and creative space is the same developer. I think. any help would be appreciated.

Hey Gil, just learning and trying to bring in images. I dont understand all the different types of files such as png or svg etc. I only use lightburn on the Otur lasermaster 20w. when trying to copy an image from the internet, what files should I be looking for or which is a better file type. thank you for a great video. The comments are also informative.

Idk if this works on mac but if you click and hold the middle button. "scroll wheel" you can move across the grid instead of zooming out then back in.

Hey Gil, just found your channel. i have been lasering for about 10 months and absolutely love it. This video fits in perfectly with a project im trying to do. I have a customer that hand drew some art work and i just can not seem to get it cleaned up. This video seems to be the ticket for cleaning up the image. The image has a million nodes. I 'm going to ty this today and see if i can get it cleaned up. Thank you or your videos. Jim in Idaho USA

Gil, good presentation. I hate to say this because it is so picky, but if you would turn off the traverse lines on the preview it would be easier to see the end product. Also all those scan lines tell me you are not using the "Fill shapes individually" function on the cut settings editor. By using that function you can save a lot of burning time. I don't mean to be critical, just trying to help out.
