What's missing from the road map? The actual road and map. It just sounds like some thought scribbled down on some paper. Nothing definite. A roadmap has clearly defined destinations and timeframes. We got nothing of the sort. Oh well, hopefully they'll do better in future episodes.

There should definitely be a “Corrupted Zone” where all player that walk in become flagged pvp with a system that when a player has killed multiple player will get flagged and everyone can see in map. They could also add elite mobs that if you kill in that zone give you buffs(5% health-dps or cooldown reduction). If you walk out of the zone you will still be flagged for 20 seconds to avoid people from trolling.

Looking forward to seeing how you look with a longer beard. I tend to keep mine trimmed due to how hot my face gets at times, but I’m also gonna try growing it out a bit more this winter.

They havent touched wands... Albion has wands with a tomb in the other hand for instance.... Dual wield weapons (sabres, cutlass, dueling pistols etc)... and daggers as you mentioned.

One thing Albion Online does, is uber treasure chests in the open world, once a day... and its auto pvp around it.
Last man standing style loots. No group of guild protection, everyone can be hurt inside the whatever 500 yard bubble and if you run out of that bubble your excluded from coming back in.
Maybe some of it is hyper graphical rewards for 24 hours... everyone knows your king of the hill when your seen kind of thing

Even though I rarely PVP in MMOs, I always champion folks who are into that and hope they get fun and engaging modes. But PVE is what brings people in... New World has bigger concerns right now, and I think it makes sense that they focus on that. Get enough people in the game and engaged with the content, and PVP will result. Thanks for the video.

They said that what they talked about on the road map wasn't the only thing that could be coming in Spring and Summer. It was what they were ready to talk about. Also, I think that the slow down in development is a sign that the team is now split, and part of the team maybe working on a actual expansion. I would think they would want that on the 2nd anniversary. So I bet that we will have an announcement in late spring or early summer. /cross fingers

Bro this guys ability to talk about nothing is impressive.

Open world PVP is not a thing for most players in most MMOs. Nothing to do with NW specificaly, and NW devs know it : the base MMO basic player want PVE with a bit of instanced PVP (like OPR, arena).

Even a game like BDO, which was almost pure PVP oriented gameplay, slowly but surely goes away from this road to go more on group PVE. they even made some grinding zone now safe if you want to grind/quest without any trouble.

Even ESO, which have a fantastic PVP zone with siege engines, forts etc, mostly retain pure PVE players with 3 fantastic new zones and storylines every year, while PVP content is more or less still the same since Beta. I didn't connet for 2 years on my ESO account, and when i did, i found the same PVP players in Cyrodyl, zerging around like 8 years ago, vs the same players on the other side ! Hardcore PVPers don't care about rewarding, they just fight because they like it.

So, what's wrong with open world PVP in NW ? IMO, nothing.

I Like the hot zone idea. May even need more than that, but starting with zones would be great.

I really want to see weapons come out much more frequently. I get bored of weapons pretty fast and I also get really reinvigorated when one comes out, everyone does. People that have been taking a break or never have played before come back when a new weapon comes out. At least 3 a year is not much to ask I don't think.

Really believe new weapons, and more incentives for open world pvp should take priority over some of the other stuff they decide is important like mounts. Are mounts cool? Yes, but they are totally not needed in this game right now.

P.S. Please stop with the iron ammunition drops. It is so damn frustrating and is just lazy at this point not to have removed it.

It’s just super frustrating that there’s no mention of new PvP content. The last update for pvp was arenas and that was in April. The roadmap goes through summer so the earliest we can expect new PvP content is October next year. That’s a year and a half with no new content…

Also I’m very frustrated that the devs said “PvP players have wars to flex their gear.” No, elitist PvPers gate that content from 99 percent of the community. It’s just a sad day for us pvp folks.

Played the game nonstop for the past year but im running low on the desire to keep playing a game that treats pvp players like all other MMOs. as second class citizens. I might be done with this game sometime in the near future and move on to something else.

Personally I dislike any hairs being long and causing itching and disliking the constant grooming of long hairs anywere. Short and sweet is the key. The PvP sucks esp rushing to capture 3 nodes and win. lame.
