Thank you - was going to change all my hinges out to outside hinges, but I'll sure go with this fix first!
ОтветитьDon't use used toothpicks...
ОтветитьHi mate, thanks for the toothpick/cocktail stick idea, I will be trying it tomorrow.
ОтветитьI'm trying this tomorrow. Thank you for sharing!
ОтветитьCan you screw the screws into the new hole without a drill? Or will the pressure of a screwdriver not work
ОтветитьAmazing results thank you
ОтветитьI am going to give this a go this weekend as I’ve a cabinet that is now loose. Think this will work a charm!
ОтветитьYeah neither of these worked for me
ОтветитьWhat about the one that holds the hinge in place?
ОтветитьThank you for saving me time money aggravation and worry! Cheers
ОтветитьAsi me enseño mi mamá hacerlo y la verdad que si funciona.
ОтветитьMy husband is out of town and my cabinet door fell off! The toothpick trick worked so well. Thank you!!!!!! I was able to do it easy with three small kiddos running around!!! Ty so so much
Ответитьdidn't work for me. Door immediately fell off again right when I shut it.
ОтветитьUnfortunately I cannot use a longer or bigger screw as they are in the direction of outside cabinet.
Not sure I would trust the toothpick/glue solution as the material of cabinets is particle board (breaking out some).
On this hinge, what does the screw on the end do?
ОтветитьHope this works!
Thanks for a solution.
Thank you so much for posting this. I don’t know how much money you have saved me and you don’t know how much stress you have saved me! When the top hinge came away while opening the cabinet I could only think about the hassle of finding someone to fix it and how much was it going to cost?! Followed your video and job done!
ОтветитьVery helpful
ОтветитьToothpick are cheap, I use golf tees :)
ОтветитьHahahaha I had tried just toothpicks (works with a dowel for door hinges) and just glue, but hadn't thought about toothpicks AND glue 😅 thank you!!!
ОтветитьOmg thank you...trying this tomorrow. 💓
ОтветитьYou rock!!!
ОтветитьValuable hack no doubt !!
Do you know the size of that screw please ? Thank you
It’s probably been asked but do I let the glue and toothpicks dry before reattaching the hinge or screw it in while still wet?
ОтветитьThank you so much!! It was a success, even with 2 manhattan’s in me and I didn’t even glue myself to the cabinet. Thx again
ОтветитьLife saving video. Thank you.
ОтветитьIt was a cabinet door, so longer screws wouldn't have worked. Love the toothpick idea. Brilliant.
ОтветитьI have metal in the back so longer wont work
ОтветитьGood tips, thank you
ОтветитьBless your heart thanks! Really helped !
ОтветитьIn my case the screw(which is used for Height adjustment) is not tightening or not loosening
ОтветитьGenius. I Love the toothpick method! I am literally dealing with that this very moment! Thank you ! You just saved me lots of trouble.
ОтветитьMan, the toothpick trick worked like a charm. Thank you, I fixed 6 doors 👍👍
ОтветитьThanks for the tips. Tne hinge of my cabinet door fell out after less than 10 mths of usage. -.- i swear contractors in my country are getting worse and worse by the years. They even ignored my calls for scratches on the underside of the top cabinet when i realized after 1 week of moving in
ОтветитьThanks for the video
ОтветитьThank you so much!! My brother tried to describe this to me over the phone and I didn’t understand. Guess I’m a visual learner lol. But seriously this was great!!
ОтветитьHoly cow! This solved my problem! Thanks!
ОтветитьYou just saved me a whole lot of hell 🙏
ОтветитьYou can also use golf tee
ОтветитьWhat a brilliant solution!! Thanks bro for sharing!
ОтветитьThank you this was supper helpful
ОтветитьEchoing what many have said. I was able to use one tooth pic (which I split into three parts) and Elmer’s glue and that did the trick. THANK YOU!
ОтветитьThank you very much! Worked like a gem!
ОтветитьNice job. Does this work with mdf?
ОтветитьEven earlier than this is using a wooden golf tee. You put it in there until it bottoms out and just break it off. But this is a great way too!
ОтветитьGreat advice and loved the 2 different options.
ОтветитьToothpicks? Genius! It worked. Thank you for this super simple fix.
ОтветитьAwesome tip on the kitchen cabinet loose screw issue, especially the wood glue tip w/ the tooth picks. I have heard of toothpicks earlier before I watched your video, but combined with the wood glue it’s a nice and sturdy combo. I will go get a longer screw if it comes lose again. Thanks again for the very helpful and to the point video.
ОтветитьIs that a wood glue you're using? (assuming but want to be sure 😁)
ОтветитьYes! Result. Many thanks. Brilliant advice for anyone who wants to keep a cabinet that is no longer in production.
