I'm here all weirded out by getting compliments about my eyes being pretty and big while admiring asian peoples eyes. 😂
ОтветитьThey have alien faces, not baby faces😂 please stop misusing established terms.
ОтветитьI have baby face even though am 20 lol
ОтветитьAnd now Maddie Phillips
ОтветитьSo many Ethiopian women have the most gorgeous large dark doe eyes.
ОтветитьPrincess Diana
ОтветитьI kind of love this trope. I feel represented and it explains so much. I’m sure there are other tropes roped in.
ОтветитьInfantilizing women... Really? Such a messed up thumbnail.
ОтветитьBig eyes, cheeks and forehead. People don't take me seriously.
ОтветитьI feel so sad I don't have wide eyes 😢
Ответитьthis was for humanity's existence, baby face look hunger, males want younger mates to have children with
homo sapiens sapiens is an animal on earth, our societies are great inventions (constucts)
For females, baby has more luck to get mates, so genetically has advantage, but is less probable for beauty is a rare thing
If you haven't already, can you PLEASE do a video of the Black Best Friend "Phenom" and how gratuitous, counterproductive, and harmful it is, even when done in "Black" movies?
BBF type in White media: Rochelle in "The Craft" (SO disturbing!)
BBF type in Black media: various characters in a Tyler Perry or Kenya Barris production
What abt Eddie Sedgwick?
ОтветитьEmma Stone has beautiful big green eyes. They are enviable. Lupita Nyongo is so cute
Ответитьjust two words : Effy Stonem
ОтветитьLucy Hale is the perfect example
ОтветитьWhat about Rachel Zegler, Simone Ashley and Halle Bailey?
ОтветитьI’ve always felt SO self conscious about my eyes especially because I have hooded eyelids, and now I look back at a lot of compelling characters and they have it all ✨
ОтветитьI find Mila Kunis beautiful with those eyes of hers....lol. Finally I don't feel so weird anymore 😄😄
ОтветитьPretty much everything in Hollywood a trope. There was a reason that Hollywood is often referred to as "The Dream Factory", because people for the most part stopped going to the movies to see "real life" a long time ago. The number of actresses given as examples of this particular trope was so across the board, a list of actresses in Hollywood that didn't fit this trope would have a lot more useful, because some of the women you showed appeared to have perfectly normal eyes. Notwithstanding that the majority of successful actresses already tend to have won the genetic lottery in the first place.
ОтветитьWhen you google wide-eyes Halle Bailey literally comes up, she should be on this list!
ОтветитьOsamo tsesuca anime industry 🥺
ОтветитьSo wild as a big eyed gul, I always wanted cat eyes lol
ОтветитьBig eyes run in my family. I have a cousin who looks just like Amanda Seyfried and my aunt looks like Bette Davis. I’ve wondered if it helped me land lesser punishments in school
Ответитьy’all keep making shit up this is not a real trope😭😭
Ответитьdidnt work for me
ОтветитьWierd because large eyes are a beauty standard in my country. However we mean large eyes, not larhe pupils.
ОтветитьYou mean Asian eyes of Chinese, Korean and Japanese can't guarantee success? But look on Kpop now. It has a huge success w/o having a big eyes
ОтветитьTo this day I am still told I look just like Winona Ryder. Also been told I look like a cartoon. I never knew how to take that but I know it’s because of my very large widest eyes and baby face. My eyes are my favorite feature. However people guess me way younger than my age (30) which is slightly creepy when they are disappointed that I’m not 22…
ОтветитьAlison Brie.
ОтветитьAnya Taylor Joy 👁👄👁
Ответитьi’ve been insecure about my baby face ever since i was a teenager (i’m almost 22 now) and now i feel validated that everyone around me both trust me automatically and find me the most attractive person in the room
Ответитьyey
Ответитьwell now the wide eyed thing doesnt only apply to the female actresses/characters anymore. you have male actors like rami malek and lee je hoon who also have that similar natural beauty as the actresses mentioned above. plus that wide eyed aspect about them is also deconstructed in their series mr robot and taxi driver. Rami as elliot is depicted as beautiful and cute especially bc of his eyes and the trauma he goes through throughout the series would make us want to hug him and care for him even more, trust i was one of them. but time and time again elliot proved himself to be capable of defending himself, use his intelligence and wit to survive and beat the villains at their own game, especially those who viewed him as a defenseless scrawny kid in a hoodie. Same goes for Je Hoon as Kim Doki in Taxi Driver. At first he begun as a wide eyed naive ARMY young man but after his mom's murder, he unlocked his much darker and bolder side in order to take down his enemies, especially after becoming a deluxe taxi driver. though he does use his doe-eyed angelic beauty to his advantage when doing his disguises to throw off the villains: especially as a mild-mannered substitue teacher, everyman nerdy employee at a corrupt corporation, a country bumpkin.
ОтветитьI think women with that eye type are automatically popular because it’s the western standard of “beauty” (blonde hair blue eyed people often have that eye type.) you won’t find woman of color with that eye shape/eyelid type. (The sunken in eye aka wide eye)
It’s kind of a white supremacist thing.
But again, many of the women listed in this don’t have “wide eyes”. They actually have hawkhooded eyes like I have. Here’s the test, if you put on eyeshadow just on the lid the. Open your eye and see no eye shadow, you have hawk hooded eyes. If you do see eye shadow, you have sunken in aka “wide eyes”. And you’re probably a blonde or red headed white person.
You say wide eyed but then show some people who don’t have it.
Definitely, Amanda Sefreyed and Emma Stone and Betty Davis . But many others actually have hawk-hooded eyes which is the opposite.
I agree that there's a problem with youthfulness being associated with sexuality but accusing Bratz of making fashion to be a way to get sexual attention is a huge stretch and actually insulting to people with traditionally feminine hobbies, it's completely misogynistic to make a claim that feminine interests are to seek male attention, I thought you'd know better..
ОтветитьBased off the variety of examples it looks more like "hollywood is obsessed with women with eyes on their face"
Ответитьas for me it's not the big eyes of the "baby schema (Kindchenschema)"more the "Betty Davis eyes" of her later movies.
i haven't photoshopped the eyes of Amanda Seyfried, Emma Stone and Anna Taylor Joy, but I think their eyes ( actually the center of the iris) seem to be nearer of further apart than they would be in a woman of conventional beauty.
Its just me and my big ass brown eyes
ОтветитьI feel like true Wide eye looks didn't peak until in the 2010s and beyond. I remember growing up in the 90s where the preferred look was striking cat eyes like Linda Evangelista, Milla Jovovich, Michelle Pfieffer. Now the look is doe eyes with a small round face. Whereas before if there was doe eyes, the entertainer had an oval egg shaped face
ОтветитьNo Halle Bailey? She literally has the face of a Disney Cartoon Princess.
ОтветитьAs a wide eyed girl, it's a huge asset. People instinctively trust and protect.
ОтветитьWide doe eyes are preferred in india since well forever because most indian girls have such eyes
ОтветитьWhat I noticed thus far is that there's a higher ratio skews towards eyes that one can see the whites of the eye around the iris. All the way way around, or at least on the bottom, even when the person isn't 'widening their eyes deliberately as if in shock.'
.
Some eyes, like my own, are smaller and so you can't see the whites underneath my iris, and only see such at the top when I deliberately and noticeably widen my eyes.
.
The difference seems to be a factor in whether or not someone looks "wide-eyed" or not, regardless of eye size. Also, whether or not their eyes are deep-set or hooded, as that can result in drooping eyelids that hide eyes that might've otherwise looked bigger and more open (aka wide-eyed).
I can shape-shift my eyes to doe eyes to siren eyes
ОтветитьHow Halle Bailey is not in this video @The Take ?????
Ответить
