JUST WOW
ОтветитьDoes banggood make a knockoff of the makita 118 in track
ОтветитьJust purchased a Rigid track saw....what parrallel system will work with it
ОтветитьA lot of US companies rip you off, because there are people out there willing to pay crazy amounts of money for things that cost pennies to make. Americans are kind of stupid at the moment of buying. They almost never think about what the real manufacturing price might be. Woodpecker is a good product but waaaaay overpriced.
ОтветитьMetric, made in China. I'd rather pay American's to make American wages, with benefits. Start buying things made in your own country and supporting your own people and country. Wake up people. Don't you see the mess the mess we all are in with China?
ОтветитьHello great video. I have a question about the glade next to your table saw I'm here in the USA Could you let me know how much and how could get a set-up like yours.
Thank you very much
Wooooow!!!!
ОтветитьAnother Chinese company rips off an American company. It’s hard to resist the prices, but it’s a reason all our western economies struggle with manufacturing
ОтветитьI'm not going to buy Chinese if I can when uk or USA is available. Eventually no one will have a job because we've all been outsourced. Just bought my 1st woodpecker rule and very pleased. Shame there's no accuracy tests in this as part of the comparison. Enjoyed seeing the items available anyway so thanks for that.
ОтветитьMate, the parallel guide does it work with an Erbauer track saw?
ОтветитьHad I known what Veiko's parallel guides cost I wouldn't have made my own. I never doubted Woodpecker's quality but figured, like a cocaine habit, they were for rock stars and crooked politicians. I have bought the 32mm hinge jig, the 600mil square, and 4 of the ratchet clamps. Banggood's holiday sales events are worth waiting for.
Ответитьfor this video of yours, all i can say you are a LEGEND.... helps out a lot to save a buy the right product. a big thank you.
Ответитьcan i buy now.what do i do
ОтветитьI can’t afford woodpecker tools.
The closest thing I have might be a push stick I made.
I made it long and slender with a bulbous grip on the end. Then I thought it would be a good idea to round all edges to make it more hand friendly. It has a little notch on the end.
It’s my wood pecker. Sometimes I’m reluctant to pick it up.
5-10 minute videos... erm
ОтветитьI understand comparing the price but how are you comparing the quality of the tools if you do not have the tools to see and feel. I can see trying to get tools on the cheaper side but then at the end, you get what you pay for. Shipping is shipping if I want an item I pay what it takes. I think a lot of us will. I don't think you should compare pricing when you do not compare quality.
ОтветитьOur future generations may look back on a video like this one and condemn it as the slave trade was condemned. Maybe.
Is it ok for manufacturing prices to be reduced by producing products in lower standard of living country’s? I would say yes. As long as it benefits the people in that country. But China? I am not convinced the people are benefiting anything. Only the Chinese government.
Also, if the Chinese manufacturer is actually copying the product from Woodpeckers, which by all appearances they are, then shame on the people that help them continue in that crime.
Apparently people like yourself who are even producing a prophet through stolen ideas.
I was sceptical but you convinced me to try banggood, so I purchased the 760mm t square and the concealed hinge jig. Couldn’t be happier, just received both, earlier than stated, with no hassle. Big 👍
ОтветитьI am not OK with China stealing intellectual property, copying it, and producing a cheap imitation at a lower price. No thanks.
ОтветитьI don't know. Though i love affordable tools, at the end of the day, if i were a furniture maker/designer, i wonder how would i feel if the products i designed and crafted so meticulously through my sweat, blood and time and a potential customer of mine bought someone else's instead because it's way cheaper with looks so similar to mine.
ОтветитьAre they lifting designs from woodpecker? The drill press as an example.
ОтветитьThere is shipping charges after l looked online
ОтветитьKreg do a hinge jig, significantly more than Banggood, and plastic
ОтветитьIm dancing that line of "Do i support China" ? This stuff is cheap for a reason.
ОтветитьGreat comparison. Without going into western perceived ideas about working conditions in China and the ethics of copying products what is clear is not the cheapness of the banggood stuff but the overpricing of the USA stuff.
Personally when I watch US based woodworking channels I wonder how furniture was made before the advent of CNC machines! I think some of the content creators would need a fancy jig to dispense toilet roll 😅
There's absolutely no comparison when you get banggood it's the delivery charge to much or I would buy all there tools
ОтветитьNice video I wish them squares would have inch increments
ОтветитьDo you have a link to the tracksaw 90 degree guide?
ОтветитьGreat review, I have a few of these products and agree on your conclusions. But for the 90 degree rail square adapter for saw tracks I’d rather recommend the BenchDogs version just around the £100 mark.
ОтветитьNo thanks to knock offs
ОтветитьThank you very much for the video. We woodworkers pay enough for tools as it is. In the US Banggood freight charges are very low, as in one to three dollars for an item. I have been a Banggood customer for several years and have found the products to be outstanding in design and manufacturing quality. Keep up the good work.
Ответитьyou are not taking into account a lot of things, like R&D (they are stealing patents), and you dont compare precisions. So they could be totally useless.
ОтветитьWait till then end to get Lorem Ipsum place holding text ha ha
ОтветитьThanks for the video.
Waiting for the track saw square review.
Did you have to pay import duties and handling fees on receipt from Bangood China? There website does not say that it is pre-paid on shipping or not.
ОтветитьTrue the USA stuff is more expensive, and you can get the same quality for the most part for less. But, you are supporting dirty commies that are going to use your money to destroy your country and enslave you. So are you really getting a great deal?
ОтветитьWow - I've always loved the Woodpecker tools but as a DIY and novice woodworker I couldn't justify spending that amount on tools......However, I have just ordered some bits that you recommended from Banggood and now you also have another subscriber :)
ОтветитьThis is just crazy - if you want the parallel guides, the difference in price is more than the cost of a Festool TS55 tracksaw! I do worry about buying Chinese kit, but the gouging by Western makers is completely out of order
ОтветитьI bought the drill guide from banggood and now I'm returning it because there is a wobble in the chuck.
ОтветитьI'd love to see the ethical going ons behind the supply of items from the mentioned suppliers. Great getting stuff on the cheap. However at what cost? Where does it end.
ОтветитьWithout actually having the Woodpecker's version on-hand to compare with, this "comparison" is moot. At least Hooked on Wood owns both the Woodpeckers and Bangood product and does a fair comparison of both products.
ОтветитьI don't agree that you will save money from some of the tools, bacause you will face so much problems working with them... Also if you make a video after a year or so, i am interested if this tools will still do the work! The clamping square's for example are very good example... I have the Woodpecker's one's and i can say that they are AMAZING! Very easy to use even with one hand, which is impossible with the cheap ones. T-Square have a major difference in the real life too even if they look the same on the pictures. Someone in the comments sad that square is a square... Yes it is, if it is REALLY SQUARE 😉 I am also not sure how durable this tools are... Are they laser ingraved and so on...
So if you buy this cheap buy a few times...it will not be so cheap anymore and most important it will not do the work and will not save you time...
Just thinking out loud!
There has to be an alternative between insanely expensive woodpecker kit and Chinese slave labour rip offs?
ОтветитьIt’s about time someone raised this. Although woodpeckers provide an excellent product they are SO arrogant!
They can’t leave the the supply of their entire product range in the uk one outlet. I called them direct 6 months ago and their attitude was shocking. well done mate…
Not sure why there isn't a UK company producing this. Or why we price ourselves so highly for things made by a machine
But I ain't buying products from a country that is hostile to the west and Taiwan.
Great content Ryan and thanks , just placed an order for clamping squares and guide clamps, I’ve got a pair of Benchdogs parallel guides ,game changer but this gear looks like great value, happy new year
ОтветитьHappy new year Ryan. Some good comparisons there and I find it ridiculous that a UK company should charge so much. We keep being told to buy British but at those prices you can’t blame people for shopping elsewhere although I must admit I really don’t want to be giving any money to China right now…
ОтветитьGreat video! I am a huge fan of Woodpeckers products but as a company I think they have done a terrible job of managing their pricing structure which has allowed these Chinese copies to overwhelm their potential customers with cheaper options which get better every day.
ОтветитьShame on you, they are quite clearly rip offs of Woodpecker, how would you like it if you had invested the R & D into a product like Woodpecker only to find some little Yellow belly steal it from you?
ОтветитьThey’re cheaper because they do not pay for research and development. They’re cheaper because their salaries are not fair. I’m not against bangood, but if you make an honest comparison between prices, you should also consider these aspects.
Ответить
