ОтветитьThe executions by Italians on the Libians were a genocide. They gathered unarmed people and shot them as revenge. They shot people who had nothing to do with war to quenche their thirst for revenge. Yet this wasn't revenge. This was just slaughtering
ОтветитьI was hoping to watch an unbiassed documentary, instead you are suggesting that whole greek occupation in asia minor/anatolia justified by means of a superhero named topal killing 1000 greeks at a time? This pure idiotic.
ОтветитьThere was a time when Turks and Arabs were allies and fought side by side. Nowadays there is so much racism and hate Turks display towards the Arabs. Just this year over 340 Arab shops in Turkey had their displays destroyed by nationalistic mob and thousands more had their signs in Arabic removed. Turkey is now a fascist state that hates Arabs
ОтветитьThese english documentaries are always, always full of anti italian propaganda. As is even told in this documentary, british propaganda try to put Italy in bad light since the country is born.
ОтветитьGreece and the other former Ottoman client states in the Balkans should have all joined the Axis and reconquer Constantinople. What were the Greeks thinking?

ОтветитьThey were and are not arabs.
ОтветитьThe Ottomans suffered 18,000 KIA while the Italians suffered only 1,400 KIA in this war. As you said prior, most Italian deaths in this war were from disease, not combat. To say that the Ottomans lost "a similar number of killed and wounded as the Italians, despite Italian military superiority" is simply a lie and sounds more like anti-italian propaganda than reality. Even if you add in the additional 1,900 Italians who died of disease the numbers are still dwarfed by Ottoman losses in combat alone. The British, in particular would go on to push the idea of Italian military inferiority during the second world war, despite Italy's military victories being extremely robust during this period and WWI. I can't help but notice that you seem to follow this pattern of thinking despite the actual figures showing otherwise.
ОтветитьLol
Everything said here was a joke
European, American and Israelites are distroyer of nature, nation and civilization.
Ответитьwhy always these stupid musics in the background ? so boring melodrama
ОтветитьIn military history three mistakes are repeated over and over again: The first mistake is to think that Russia can be invaded. The second mistake is to believe that a war ends soon, while it lasts for years. And the third one is to expect local populations to welcome the invaders as "liberators" while the opposite is often the case.

ОтветитьThank you for producing such wonderful documentary on Turkish-Italian war. I had watched a movie wherein a Libyan guerilla leader led his people against the well armed Italian forces. Though it was a fictional story but it gave me some sort of sense how the Libyan people resisted the European colonialists. Let me know if the channel has produced something on the British wars in the Indian sub-continent.

ОтветитьAs a Turk, it is interesting and different to watch our history from a foreigner.
And the Turks are shaping the history of Libya again in Libya these days.
We expect everyone to visit Turkey, the country of tourism, one day.
Thanks.
Britain refused to allow Ottoman armies to cross British Egypt to reinforce Libya as Britain DID NOT want to be openly hostile to Italy.
Britain wanted to pry Italy away from the triple alliance with Germany and Austria Hungary.
Italy would loose everything in 1945 and Italy itself be conquered and occupied by the allied forces.
