Curious to know why you switched from the Kase Filters
ОтветитьThose Canon flippy flappy rear screens ….. pointless for everything apart from selfies 🙄
ОтветитьI want that bag! Still waiting for it from the Shimoda site.
ОтветитьNice video, I have a think tank bag but may switch bags.
ОтветитьYou go through cameras like I used to go through women. I'm married now, thank god.
ОтветитьNick , image quality of 14-35 better than 15-35 ? I will go with the 14-35 as you are using it . Thanks
ОтветитьI don't see Action X V2 in a 35L on the website. Is your bag a 30L?
ОтветитьThanks Nick. Great summary. I showed our camera club your video about conversion from Sony....and a lot of people changed their minds !!!
ОтветитьThey dont make a 35L in the acrtion x V2. Did you mean the 40L?
Ответить'Promo SM' 🤷
ОтветитьNew to your channel . . . In heaven so far. Looking through your videos I was looking for any setup advice for shooting action. We are Dog Photographers and would love to find some pointers. We both shoot with the A7riv. We are generally using 100- 400 GMaster, 70 - 200 2.8 GMaster, 24 -70 2.8 and I love the 85 prime GMaster. FYI - The tip you gave on turning off the DRO was the bomb. Thank you for that.
Ответитьhe said dodo, god im so mature
ОтветитьSeems like all the landscape photographers in your old crew got the same new bag. So you will have plenty of support if there is any issues ;)
ОтветитьSo how are we going to tell you apart from Heaton & Hardcastle?
ОтветитьWhere are the prime Lenses ???
ОтветитьGreat stuff Nick, great to see more of you, Can I pick your brains, I also shoot with the Canon RF 14-35, Is it advisable to go up a filter thread size because of vignetting , Im looking into getting the Maven filters, cheers chap
ОтветитьNick, I've often read that because Canon cameras have an anti-aliasing filter, the images will not be as sharp as cameras without one, for example the Sony that you used to use. Have you noticed any difference in sharpness because of that? I was always curious if that was something really visible in real world practice.
ОтветитьSuper cool.
ОтветитьNo drone? How is this a 2023 bag? ;)
ОтветитьNick where did you get the camo for the RF 100-500, it looks better than the type I’m using, thanks 🙏
ОтветитьGreat to see you Nick !!
ОтветитьThanks for the updated gear carry video. I've been looking for a better L bracket solution because of the flip screen interference and needing to keep the side door open for my intervalometer cable when in portrait mode for astro!
ОтветитьHey nick im Zane’s old friend from Dayton just saying hi 👋
ОтветитьNick - Thanks! Looking forward to more videos soon! What did you use for your camo lens cover? Looks thinner than the usual neoprene ones. Thanks
ОтветитьCould you add a link for the camera bag please?
ОтветитьLove that L bracket!! Need to get me one of those.
ОтветитьI'm quite surprised you choose to travel with that tripod. I thought you'd treat you 100-500 with beefier options in your collection. I own an EF 100-400 L II and travel tripods like peak design or similar will just not damp and provide the adequate stiffness for these long zooms especially at the longer end(Yes, even with center column collapsed all the way in they're still pretty springy). I splashed big and got myself a TFC 34 and now I have to figure it out how to travel with it on flights. I mean, it's not hard to see that its pricey to be put in the checked luggage and there's always a possibility of misplaced baggage, but it's also pretty heavy and long when folded up for carry on(on the brink of too long to be allowed almost).
ОтветитьWhen did he switch back to canon? Haha predictable and I did when he went with those sony machines 😂 Happy Hunting Nick. Canon is the best brand REALLY lol
ОтветитьNick - does this bag fit is those smaller Alaska Air propellor planes with those tiny small overhead bins?
ОтветитьWould this bag work for Iceland Air?
ОтветитьThe bag looks awesome, that color though. Not grooving on the yellow.
ОтветитьLove the video and update on your gear, but one thing I’m wondering with you going lighter with the 14-35f4 instead of the 15-35f2.8 is what you do for any Astro you might still shoot? Are you using the f4 or are you using the 16f2.8? I have the 16 and it’s decent for Milky Way but when I rented the 15-35 I noticed a huge difference. I’m in the market for my wide zoom and would love to save weight with the f4 but also do maybe 10% of my landscape photography at night and the 16mm does leave a bit to be desired despite taking no room and costing very little. Thanks as always for being such a great teacher and so generous with information!
ОтветитьGood to see ya! It's been one year since the last trip and man do I miss that time. As always, just when I think yea I like photography, but I love the processing more, I take another trip with Nick and I realize just how much I love the adventure aspect of it easily just as much. Anyone on the fence about doing a workshop, take the leap because they are great times and great memories. NIck is the epitome of what it is to be a photographer from in the field, to hanging out talking shop, to processing it. He gives the full experience and it is truly appreciated. MIss ya my friend! Wish i lived closer.
ОтветитьNick I believe we agreed that will send me that set of filters since you give away anything you evaluate. Did you misplaced my address????
ОтветитьNick, did you say the bag was and action x 35? I don't see 35 on their website, just 25, 30, 40, and 70.
ОтветитьThanks for the video, Nick! I always look forward to your videos and I am so glad to see you on this one! Looking forward to the next one! hope you are doing well!
ОтветитьOn your recommendation, I got the Shimoda bag a few years ago (well, my lovely wife bought it as a Xmas present for me, but I digress). No regrets! Great bag! While I shoot Nikon, I too recommend the f4 glass. Lighter and does the job! In the nikon ecosystem, the 24-120mm f4 is fabulous….so versatile!
Those filters….hmmmmm
Always like your gear review videos, great bag and nice kit thanks for sharing Nick.
ОтветитьThe new bag looks cool. I bought the explore v2 after seeing your video on it more than a year ago, love it!
ОтветитьThe thing that catches you out travelling down here in Australasia is not so much the size of the bag but the weight limit 7kg is painful when the attendant gets out the scales! That setup you got there has got to be 6.3kg even without spare batteries and a laptop etc?
ОтветитьThx to you I just learn about ProMediaGear and I'll will be getting an L braket from them for my R6 Mark II. I also checked their gimble heads. Quite pricey but very interesting. I'll probably get one in the future. 😀
ОтветитьHave you thought about the Silence Corner Atoll bracket instead of an L-Bracket? The bracket doesn't get in the way of the screen or doors and has a much smaller footprint
ОтветитьIf you're looking for some to donate your old bag to ..
ОтветитьI'm going to check out the jacket. Your obviously aware of Pro media gear. I far prefer there Tripods over RRS. weight, height both extended and collapsed I have the 72" one. Can shoot video over people's heads, and a pound lighter than competition. Basically same high price, made due south of me in USA!
ОтветитьThat’s a super clean set up Nick!
ОтветитьGreat to see you back, Nick. We've missed you. As ever, I get something useful from your videos - multi-tool now purchased.
ОтветитьYou're to late with the bag review Nick. It's been done by Gavin and Sarah Lindsay have already done it.
ОтветитьWhat do you miss about Sony ?
Ответитьis there something going on that both you and gavin have the same colour bags ???
ОтветитьGlad to see you Nick!!
Watching your vid the night before I travel…
Great Info!!
